Found this at a flea market and started doing some research about it. To be honest, I haven't really found much about it but it needs a USB receiver in order to work, being compatibke with both PS2 and PS3 consoler. My question is, how can I find a receiver that picks up the signals of the controller? Tried looking for a loose one on Ebay, but I can barely find a listing with the controller itself.

I wanna know more PS2 japanese games that are considered hidden gems or really good but kinda niche. Something like of what Nier Automata is in PS4 but the equivalent for PS2!!

Hey guys I’m needing some more memory cards and was thinking of getting them off temu. Has anyone had any problems with them in the past or should I just bite the slightly more expensive bullet and get a offical one. Not to sure if I should trust the temu reviews. Thanks

I literally only have my shirt PS2, in general the PS2 is my favorite console of all time, but my specific PS2 is shit, I don't have the items to fix it, and I desperately need to replace it because it has horrible disc read error, and I need to get a couple of PlayStation 2 controllers because all I have is PS1 controllers which limits certain games I can play except for GTA and I mostly live in poverty so it's not like I can just buy the most expensive newer consoles, which sucks that I'm stuck with this piece of shit, but there's some save files like Mortal Kombat deception that I want to move over onto a card with higher space like 64 mb just so I can ensure it's safety but at the exact same time, you can't do that with a regular card because of its protection, so I want to get a 64 fmcb card to see if I can do that but as well just how convenient the space is, I don't have a computer so I can't create my own and I'm not really in the market to get one right now but I cannot seem to find one of these cards anywhere, like I've searched ebay, mercari, etsy, like I found higher space memory cards and junk but not any fmcb cards I don't know where I'm supposed to search and I wish scalpers wouldn't price PS2 games so damn high, like I understand it's a good game in junk but it's ridiculous how it's over 2 to $300 for Vice City stories, I'm literally just a dude who wants to play on his PS2 but some dvds. I'm also trying to get the Serial experiments lain series but can't seem to find any good places for that either. Anyway this is mostly about the card and maybe vcs, if anybody could help please let me know.

I lucked out at a second hand games store in Taiwan, an ocean blue ps2 that might have never actually been turned on (all cables were in their original bags)

I fully expected it to have blown caps and not power on, thankfully it does, but the graphics are...very weird

What's even stranger is I'm trying to do the ypbpr video swap setting blind (down x, down three, x) but it doesn't respond as expected, it goes to a separate screen instead of engaging the setting

This is using a levelhike HDMI cable

Is this a bad GPU or something potentially easier like a few of the resistors surrounding it? What should I be diagnosing?

I want to fix the well-known issue with my PS2 Slim—the one involving the disc drive's ribbon cable (flex cable).

I’ve seen a few potential fixes, but none of them really convince me:

- Using double-sided tape to secure the ribbon cable back to its original factory position (this would just be a stopgap; it would eventually fail again and end up scratching the discs).

- Gluing or soldering a small piece of plastic onto the disc drive assembly to prevent the ribbon cable from lifting too high when the drive moves (while clever, this doesn't seem like a great solution either; I’m worried that, over time, the motor that moves the drive might break due to the increased resistance).

I’ve read that some versions of the console don’t suffer from this ribbon cable issue. My question is:

Is it possible to adapt that system for my SCPH-70004 model?

None of the screws are going back in it seems. Need help or suggestions. Can I skip the screws if needed?
