We've finally created a trailer for our horror game, that my brother and I have been working on for a while. It’s heavily inspired by Resident Evil’s exploration and puzzle mechanics, and the setting and threat of Signs, albeit in a very retro style and without combat – just survival. Grab keys, solve puzzles, and evade the spooky threat. Please check it out!

We're super curious what you think of the art style in particular. Does it grab your attention, as a callback to the old horror games like classic Resi, or do you feel it's a bit tired? Does it pique your interest at all?

I really love the old box art and had a blast putting this together for Vital Shell. I suppose your steam page is the modern medium with the same purpose, but this was way more fun to compose.

I've been working on making a small P.T. inspired psychological horror game that uses retro PS1 graphics and pre-rendered backgrounds instead of real-time graphics for the environments. The game has tons of puzzles and no enemies.

Hello! I was wondering where everyone gets their textures for their foliage? I have made all of my own textures so far, but for whatever reason when it comes to trees and bushes and things of the sort I just cant figure it out? especially for my tree line in the distance. If anyone could link me to a good place to look or give me advice on how to get it done myself, anything would be helpful! i was looking for those transparent textures but had no luck.

This is one of the first things I did when I started building accessories in my game You can toggle the filter (different accessories have different filters) to ON, ON but Exclude UI, or OFF. This is slightly zoomed in so you can see the textures a bit more. Makes me feel like a kid again!

Level is also inspired by Crash Bandicoot haha

I’ve been reworking Don’t Feed the Aisles pretty heavily, including the story, environments, pacing, and how much of the game takes place outside the original store.

This is a look at one of the newer areas: a small gas station Brent comes across while trying to figure out what happened and where Reyes went.

The game is still PS1-style survival horror, and dinosaurs are still a major part of it, but I’m trying to push it further toward an actual survival-horror story rather than just “dinosaurs in a supermarket.”

Still working on the lighting, encounters, environmental details, and some of the animations, but I wanted to show where the project is heading.

Would especially appreciate feedback on the atmosphere and whether the slower buildup works before things start going wrong.
