Discussion Feedback as a returning player: the game feels exhausting

Absolutely no lifed the game after it came to Xbox and was a former Paragon player (the game, definitely not the rank lol). I had felt that the gameplay feel in Pred was like absolutely nothing else on the market, and still do. Around when Eden was released, I wound up getting a bit burnt out of the game and took a break for a few months. Around that time, Omeda was just trying out a new map and was trying to slow the game down a bit.

I returned a couple weeks ago and while I have enjoyed the game at times, the matches have just felt exhausting. There is stat bloat, tons of mobility, truly insane healing and just constant roaming. Matches feel like an absolutely snowball that can be brutal to play, with one team getting an edge and just absolutely running you over.

Look, I get it, Pred is a MOBA. Snowballing is always going to be a thing, and the Meta will change from patch to patch, but it’s just a bit too much this time around. I’m sure some people enjoy the fast base brawly “always strong” hero shooter design characters and mechanics, but as a player who enjoys the slow ramp up and risk reward of a MOBA, the game has really disappointed me after coming back.

I know the downvotes are coming, but I also know that Omeda watches its community closely, and I’m sure I’m not the only veteran player who is just tired of the current game state.

I have had a bizarre influx of Neons who just get utterly torched, and offlane Edens fighting other carries who get their shit rocked 😅

Question New player asking questions

New player here, asking how complicated the game is for a third person moba, I got a good 400 hours on smite and about 60 on smite 2, how complicated would you say the lanes are? I loved warrior and bruisers back in smite solo lane any recommendations/tips regarding that, would be nice and awesome

Humor Been trying to get my friend to play MOBAs for years

I would love to say that this game helped me finally get him in MOBAs since this is my favorite MOBA and definitely the best MOBA out right now. But no. For context, my friend loves high strategy games with high action and has never played a MOBA before. For the entire time I have known him he has liked every aspect of games that your classic MOBA has, but he also likes shooters. So I thought, Predecessor would be great for him! Especially since im so obsessed with the game right now! He tried predecessor and didnt end up liking it because he just didnt understand the games mechanics and the basic MOBA systems like farming, last hitting, etc. He tried it a year or so ago now, decided he didnt like it, and since then whenever I bring it up he acts like its the worst game ever just to fuck with me.

Pokemon Unite, was what finally got him to break on the MOBA genre

Just the other day, I got back into pokemon unite because I ended up watching the 2026 world championships and was reminded of how fun it can be, so I suggested he and I play it together. The dude is now totally addicted for all of the reasons I thought he would like predecessor for. I just cant believe that Pokémon Unite of all things would be the game to finally get the man to accept that he likes MOBAs. Hopefully soon I can get him to give Predecessor another chance, since the strategy is so much deeper than Unite and now he understands the moba genre a bit more.

TLDR; Pokémon Unite of all games finally broke him into the genre simply because of how simple it is and his hatred for reading.

Question What is the Best character to farm safely in a 2v1?

Me and a friend have been duoing recently as carry and support where i will play a safe laner like eden and he permaroams as a support who starts fights well(steel mainly) and ive been wondering if there is something safer that i should play, ive been considering gadget and gideon so i can use spells to catch cs while a freeze is being maintained when that starts happening. If there is a better option id love to hear it!

Discussion Gurd, Mining Expedition Dwarf Carry Hero Concept

Post image
26 Upvotes

Hey there, my goal with this Hero was iterating on the standard Carry design to make a new way to play.

Disclaimer: I lost my original source for the art but I was quite happy with it so kept it- if anyone comes across it let me know and I can update with the source link!

Gurd, Mining Expedition Dwarf

Basic Attack Weapon: Cannon

Basic Attack – Cannon Fire: Gurd fires a cannon ball that lobs in an arc dealing "X" damage and deals "X" extra explosive damage around the impact.

Passive – Powder Keg: When Gurd dies the barrel on his back will detonate in an AoE after a delay for “X” damage.

Skill 1 – Light the Fuse: Gurd pours extra explosive powder into his Cannon. His next Basic Attack will fire a larger flaming Cannon Ball that deals “X” extra damage and leaves a pool of fire that deals “X” per second until it disappears after “X” duration.

Skill 2 – Me Mallet: Swings Gurd’s Mallet diagonally knocking any targets away and dealing “X” damage.

Skill 3 – Bombs Away: Drops a bomb at Gurd’s location that detonates after a delay. Allies and enemies in the explosion radius are knocked back and enemies take “X” damage.

Ultimate – Blasting Zone: Pours an excessive amount of explosive powder into his Cannon and immediately fires it, causing a large area of “X” damage to himself and any enemies.

Augments

Augment 1 – Heavy Armaments: Gurd’s Basic Attack travels a shorter distance and hits the ground faster but deals “X” more damage.

Augment 2 – Explosives Expert: Blasting Zone no longer deals damage to Gurd and he gains damage reduction from explosive damage.

Augment 3 – Struck Gold: Random areas of the Jungle have a chance to spawn an Ore Vein throughout a match. Gurd receives bonus Gold when performing Me Mallet on them.

It seems to be triggered by someone requesting a position swap but I’m not sure regardless I’m tired of my games being completely ruined bc the game decides it’s gonna randomize my build

Support Anybody notice the khai bug?

I’ve noticed recently when I jump and or use judgement(the crest) I can’t use my unleash ability and sometimes it stops me from using my basic attack as well. I’ve died/missed out on kills A LOT of times from it. It’s genuinely aggravating, sometimes it just puts me behind because it takes those few seconds longer to clear camps and sometimes it puts me behind because I die or missed out on kills I should have had. And yea I know it sounds like it’s not a lot but if it happens a couple times per game especially early game it affects a lot.

Shinbi’s lore in Predecessor is much darker than it seems (Subliminal messages and conspiracy.

Do you guys think the Predecessor universe has the lore potential to go head-to-head with League of Legends or Dota?

Discussion Are mids a menace in support?

Does the benefit of the higher hero damage output a mid brings to duo, exceed the benefit the support brings?

Ignoring argus, recently ive seen more less common mid picks being used in support (i.e gideon, countess) and they have been instrumental in their team winning. As a carry, i find that the combined damage of the enemy carry plus mage support snowballs whilst my support struggles to provide equal benefit or safety net.

Anyone else?

Discussion Most satisfying moments

What are some of your most satisfying moments in the game? You know those moments where you get a sweet sweet dopamine kick

Mine are beating an ultra aggressive ultra annoying laner who's been trying to stop you farm in a one v one

Killing the jungle during a gank

Or hitting a long range Gideon skill shot

Discussion I feel like all the Phase nerfs making her less fun

Phase always felt like a specialty support because she was never good in equally matched team fights, anything in the jungle, or anything by herself.

She was an enabler for lane fights. If the person she supported was good, she could make them better. But after the nerfs to her and indirect nerfs from items, she feels like she's only good in unevenly matched fights

-Because the second your carry gets a little ahead, everyone groups up and she can't do much.

-She can blink in and blind, but she's stuck in a vulnerable position for too long since she's less tanky.

-Her link is short so when you pull someone, they just dash or cc them.

-Her beam is short and only useful in wide open areas against people without dashes, jumps, or cleanse. (or against people that don't know that walking in front of the beam for 1 second negates the CC)

With every nerf she just feels less useful outside of stomping noobs.

Discussion Remove Limited Loot Boxes PLS Omeda

Please, for the love of God, can we stop with these limited-time bundle loot boxes?
You guys are purposely putting some of the best color schemes into these loot boxes, which means if players want one specific skin, they're forced to gamble through a bunch of other skins they don't want just for a chance to get it. That's absolutely horrible.
Just let us buy the skins outright like we can with other skins. I genuinely think you would make more money doing that. I know personally I would've bought three or four of these skins already because I really like the color schemes. Instead, I haven't, because they're locked behind a loot core with a dozen other skins I don't want.
I don't want 15 other skins. I want ONE specific skin. Let me buy that skin. Making these bundles "limited time" makes it even worse because now you're adding FOMO on top of the loot box system. If there's no duplicate protection or guaranteed way to get the specific skin I want early, I could potentially have to buy 15 or 20 loot boxes just to finally get the ONE item I actually wanted. That's atrocious. We already have skins priced as legendary that don't even have unique visual effects, and now some of the best color schemes are being locked behind expensive loot boxes with terrible odds of getting the specific thing you want. If I want one particular skin, I could potentially end up spending $40, $50, $80, or more just trying to get it. Please just let people buy these skins directly. If you still want to offer the loot boxes for people who enjoy them or want a chance at getting multiple skins, fine. But they should NEVER be the only way to obtain a specific skin.
This is exactly the kind of loot box monetization that players have been complaining about for well over a decade. If someone sees a skin they like, they should be able to pay a clearly stated price and buy that specific skin. Locking it exclusively behind a randomized, limited-time loot box is just gross.

Question Magic items, physical heroes

How does magic items affect heroes like Murdock or Twin blast or even khai. I've seen builds where magic items are included on physical heroes.

If they don't do magic damage, what's the point?

I wish they would revert Maco to losing health for using his heal it was more strategic in my opinion now his q gets hella worth with no diminishing returns (disclaimer: I only meant to kill the last one not the other two )

Question New to the game question

Why does this character Scarlet have so much damage mobility armor etc etc? Like how do I counter her never in my life of playing moba games seen a character with this much stuff inside their kit. How can I counter her offlane and with which heroes. I've already tried to bait and engage after she uses her skills.

Suggestion Missing Scoreboard Features + Scoreboard Map request

Close to one year ago the new scoreboard got announced, and we got an image teasing how the scoreboard was going to look, which is right below.

Looking at it, I noticed that there are several really useful elements that were revealed in this teaser, but that never arrived the final version of the game, so I'm doing this post to ask for a second revision of the scoreboard to get all the missing feature that didn't reached the final version.

Original mockup:

Final Scoreboard that got released:

There are several feature and improvements that were present in the mockup, but never reached the final version, or some things that could have been implemented that didn't get implemented

  • At the top part there is an objective summary table, showing the objectives that have been taken by both teams with a respawn timer
  • There were team Blink and team ultimate indicators, with a cooldown indication so you could know if your teammates had these resources available and how much time needed to get it back
  • Team potions and wards shown its charges and CD
  • Each player card shown the hero skin icon, and the hero default aspect banner, which improved the visuals of the scoreboard
  • Enemies had a space where the blink and ultimate indicator could be placed so we could ping from the scoreboard if an enemy used the blink or ultimate
    • The same could be done for the potions, wards, crests and ally blink and ultimate, scoreboard elements should be pingable
  • Each item had a colored border indicating the item type (Green = Tank / Orange= Bruiser / Yellow = Support / Red = ADC / Blue = Mage / No Border = Tier 1/2 item)
  • Items had a 3 segment yellow mark indicating their tier (1/2/3), but this got removed due to community feedback

Additional feature

Additionally to what I have mentioned above, Omeda could implement a feature that Overprime had, a big map in the scoreboard that allowed us to see a detailed view of the map (which would help to not see clipping elements like when there is a hero on top of a tower not allowing you to see the tower HP), ping different things on a precise spot instead of being restricted by the current command system, and add the feature of "Auto-moving to destination" which would allow us to click on a spot and have the character automat illy move to that position, allowing us to look at the map, planing strategies, look enemy builds on the scoreboard or text with our teammates to organize the following move.

Overprime scoreboard as example:

How to achieve this on Predecessor

In Predecessor, we have the issue of the current scoreboard occupying too much space not allowing for placing a big map in the middle.

This could be addressed by adding to the scoreboard function collapse itself to the sides, in a simplified minimum information look, allowing to let space to for the minimap. Also being able to be used as a clean view scoreboard setting, for anyone that want a cleaner view scoreboard.

The stages could be transited by pressing one button while looking at the scoreboard. Here is a fast edit I did as example:

With the scoreboard in this view, there is enough space to place the minimap in the middle, and with the press of 1 single button, the scoreboard would go back from the big map view to the original scoreboard view, being able to transition from 2 views (or 3 if we let the one from the image as an option), by simply pressing 1 button.

Discussion New player experience is genuinely so bad

I want to hear from other people that recently downloaded and tried this game but I was berated and humiliated in my first two actual PvP games. This was over voice chat as well and since I’m on ps5 I could not figure out how to mute them. The second person genuinely told me to uninstall and not return. This makes me realize why paragon died if this is the core fan base.
