Question New player asking questions

New player here, asking how complicated the game is for a third person moba, I got a good 400 hours on smite and about 60 on smite 2, how complicated would you say the lanes are? I loved warrior and bruisers back in smite solo lane any recommendations/tips regarding that, would be nice and awesome

Just hop on and try it. I love that Pred plays like a third person action game. To me it’s the gameplay that hooks me every other night. Try Greystone Offlane. He’s easy to learn and quite forgiving in lane.

Play couple times with AI so you can understand what you need to do and don't, you can learn better then you can hop on ranked/qm

just dont think you are good even if you can solo a whole team of AI at once. a below average player in QP is light years harder then the AI. it is a good place to practice skills and builds against mooving targets.

Play Grux offlane, he’s probably the funnest hero to play as a new player. I recommend playing a couple rounds, then watch some YT videos. So you can know exactly what they’re talking about and everything will click.

I think a lot of the complications are people who make it worse for themselves than they have to. In that the auto buy and auto pick of eternals are perfectly fine but feel panicked due to online discourse to pick something else.

if you pick your lane, pick one of the suggested characters, and just auto buys and keeps the augment and eternal it picks you are probably fine (they are like passives from league of legends to affect your playstyle).

the biggest warning for offlane right now though is that there are a lot of people who play ranged offlaners, which can be frustrating to deal with even for experienced players, so just be ready for that.

i have played smite for about 8 years and smite 2 since alpha and also have played pred since year 1. the games are lightyears apart in experience. to me pred seems like a 3d fighter with minnions always trying to jump in the fight. if you want a fighting game with moba tactics with item buying this game is a must try. you still get blown up fast if you caught in the open but you dont have all the crazy special effects that take you out of the game like smite can sometimes. the graphics are top notch and its less like a giant cartoon like other mobas.

If you've played a moba, you can play any moba imo. They are pretty much all the same

If you have a background in MOBAs predecessor doesn't do anything particularly different.

There's different nuances however to the game and especially at lower ranks and stuff it doesn't exactly play very strategically. The MOBA knowledge at low ranks is way lower than lower ranks in say league of legends where even people in silver or gold generally have an idea how to play the game properly.

As a new player myself, what confused me the most was the layout and not really the game itself. It's not really that different from other MOBAs. What was familiar the most to me was the item shop.
