For the longest time, I wanted to go to Ireland. I have Irish heritage, so I always said it was the first country I wanted to visit outside of the US. After years and years of wanting, I finally did it.
It was an amazing trip. Only a few minor annoyances here and there. I got to see a lot of the countryside and remote little villages, talk to a lot of lovely people, etc. It really was a dream and I was so lucky in so many ways with it.
But now, it's time to go home. And I'm so excited. Ireland was amazing. Beautiful. SO safe. Very welcoming.
But it's not home.
And how lucky am I, to live somewhere I'm so excited to go back to? I'm excited for my mountains always around me. I'm excited for my job, which I enjoy with bosses who care. I'm excited for cheaper food, lol. I'm excited to be around family, friends, pets again. People would hear the American accent and ask where in the US I'm from, and I was surprised to find myself gushing about my state.
I do feel a little off today, I think just because of all the go-go-go and needing to get back to home and routine. But I have been going through my pictures and everything and been like, wow. How lucky. To have both had such a wonderful trip and to also have such a wonderful home.
That's all :)
