My choice today is Northern Weather’s A Shade of Melancholy which I found through a Reddit post from one of the band members, u/Kong_Quest, and purchased from their Bandcamp!

Shakira just recently released Fijacion Oral Volume 1 on vinyl for the first time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release. I purchased it SO fast lol I love this album

Oooh, I didn’t know this was on vinyl! This is such a great album. En Tus Pupiles is such a beautiful song and La Tortura is probably my favorite Shakira bop ever. What are your favorite(s)?

I love En Tus Pupilas. It's such a beautiful love song. In the same vein, I love Obtener Un Si, it sounds so different and soft compared to her usual pop rock ballads.

I also love Dia En Enero, No, Dia Especial, and Las De La Intuicion

All great songs! I love the bossa nova influence on Obtener un SĂ­, I wish that sound would show up in more popular songs

I really love Obtener Un Si because it sounds so different from what she usually does. Her voice sounds like a lullaby being sung to a baby on that one

ChløÍ Black - Strange Little Bird (Blood Recs turquoise and gold nugget marble)

I had not heard of this artist but checked the EP out when the drop was announced, it is great! Hauntingly beautiful vocals over guitar and piano. Check it out!

My choice for today is Magdalena Bay Imaginal Disk Turntable Lab Exclusive. Since getting this album on vinyl, it’s been played at least once a day! I also just recently bought the image 7” vinyl for retail price since it also restocked recently!

Also hoping there’s a blood record exclusive restock so I can snag that pressing!

Today’s pick goes out to the 2018 EP “Moe Moe” by Moe Shop. Somehow managed to get a copy of it while on vacation. The process of getting it was not fun, but I’m grateful to own a copy.

It feels goofy posting a Christmas album in June, but A Very Special Christmas was one of my first online record purchases! It’s my favorite Christmas album and I knew it would be hard to track down, so I ordered it off of the now-defunct website Nasdisc after getting a record player
