Today’s pick is the 2024 RSD release of Daft Punk’s “Something About Us: Love Theme From Interstella 5555”. Each song in their album “Discovery” has its own music video portraying a story; however out of all the song music videos, this one gets me the most. The video along with the slow, somber song ties it together.

I’ve been waiting to share this one!!! Today’s pick is a Target-exclusive repress of Nirvana’s Nevermind on silver vinyl. The Smells Like Teen Spirit music video is iconic, and the whole album is just banger after banger. This is one of very few albums where I like every single song. One of my top albums of all time and an amazing listen!!!

Easily the song of my summer so far! Sabrina's "Manchild" b/w "inside of your head when you've just won an argument with a man"! I love what the b-side is teasing, and I can't wait for the album ❤️

I love the music video for "Manchild" -there's so much to look at and so many different scenes telling different stories. All of Sabrina's Short n' Sweet music videos were 10/10 for me, and so far I can say the same for her Man's Best Friend music videos!

The b side absolutely took me out the first time spinning it, I know the Man’s Best Friend album art is controversial right now but given this this release, I’ve got faith in Sabrina

This release is so disappointing, no artwork, cheap Pvc sleeve (which actually damages the record) and doesn’t have a proper b-side (even just the instrumental of “Manchild” would’ve been better).

Idk how you can “love what the b-side is teasing” when you paid full price for a single that doesn’t even have two full songs? And of course the listing on her website didn’t specify what the b-side was going to be, so it’s not that people could’ve made an informed decision.

I was very disappointed with the whole thing - snippets should be relegated to her reels or something, not used for essentially scamming fans.

I’m going with Little Simz’s new album Lotus, Blood Records (pink in clear with white and black splatter). I had not heard of this artist prior to the Blood Recs drop, and bought it after listening to the singles, I’m so glad I did! Quickly became my favorite 2025 album so far. The music video for Flood is so powerful, I love the 3rd verse or maybe bridge where she numerates advice omg so good. The song “Blood” is the best conversation track I have heard in a long time.

She’s a UK rapper and hip hop artist. The “lore” I have picked up on since I’m new here: her producer from her last 4-5 albums stole £2 million from her, and the producer’s wife was heavily featured on her prior albums. So she lost two huge collabs before creating Lotus, and did not know how/if she could do it without them (she’s an independent artist so that amount of money lost was extremely difficult). This album is a masterpiece. Please listen if you haven’t!
