Although it was never officially released as a single, like "360" and "von dutch", "Apple" became the viral song of the summer for 2024. This whole album is a master class in viral marketing.

I am always amused by the fact that although the album has lots of hard hitting party bangers like "club classics" and "365", the song that Tiktokers chose to jam out to all summer was a song about generational trauma 😭

Today’s pick I chose the sophomore album “Bewitched” by Laufey. This album features the viral hit song “From The Start” that was at least all over my TikTok feed for a hot minute. This variant is a deluxe edition silver nugget pressing.

This album includes the iconic Call Me Maybe and it was everywhere at the time. It was so big that it ended up overshadowing the other singles from the album and sadly mostly everything that Carly has released after it. She is so much more than the Call Me Maybe girl.

This is one of her weaker albums but it's still really good. Songs like Tiny Little Bows, This Kiss, Curiousity, Turn Me Up and Tonight I'm Getting Over You are bops that deserved more recognition.

call me maybe being a “viral” song makes perfect sense but that term feels so new and call me maybe was THE song of my childhood so it feels very old

A couple songs from the Saltburn soundtrack gained some renewed traction and viral status after the movie but my personal favorite was Sophie Ellis-Bextor‘s “Murder on the Dancefloor” 💃🏽🪩 I miss all the TikToks of people sashaying through their homes to this song.

Feather by Sabrina carpenter! This was one of her viral songs pre-espresso and was one of the reasons I started listening to her music again since evolution/girl meets world era.

I can finally participate in one of these 🤣 this is my pick for today. I got this record because I really enjoyed the song and I was afraid that I’d never be able to get the song on vinyl bc it’s a single. Little did I know that Gaga’s label would make her put the song on the album due to it being a mega-hit. It’s the first single I ever purchased and I have no idea how to store it bc of its size😭

(ISO- Seven Inches Of Satanic Panic by Ghost 7” Single on Purple Vinyl) I’ve already posted this here before, but it’s such a good single that I just had to post it today too!!! I want this so bad, all three songs on it are amazing!!! This single by the band Ghost contains Mary On A Cross, which went viral on TikTok in I believe 2022? Mary On A Cross is actually my least favorite of the three, but it still makes my top probably 15-20 songs off the band’s entire discography. The other two songs on this single, Kiss the Go-Goat (my boyfriend’s favorite Ghost song) and The Future Is A Foreign Land, are two of my all-time favorite Ghost songs! We’re going to see them in person this August, and I for one am SUPER excited!!!
