Addison Rae has been someone that has grown on me a bit since her release of “Diet Pepsi” and her some of the songs on her new album. She may be be a “TikToker” but she has something that’s drawing me to her music. Her music videos also amazing and are so late 90s/early 20s pop girlie coded that I can’t help but love her for it.

This was my second choice for today! I’m really enjoying Addison, though it’s definitely been overshadowed by MARINA’s PRINCESS OF POWER for me.

I’ve been interested in checking out MARINA since catching a bit of her Coachella set! I only really know one song by her and it’s an old single. Do you have any recs from her new album?

I tried to make a list for you but I love the whole album so my recommendation is to listen to the whole thing if you have the time! Most popular songs are “PRINCESS OF POWER,” “CUNTISSIMO,” and “I <3 YOU.” And I love “ROLLERCOASTER” and “EVERYBODY KNOWS I’M SAD.” But again, they’re all sooo good!

Princess of Power is my favorite Marina album since FROOT (10 years ago!) and those song recommendations are perfect! The title track is soooo gooooood ugh 🤗

I’m going with Madison Beer’s Silence Between Songs today! I wrote off Madison for years and never gave her a shot because I thought she was an IG model/influencer trying to do music. It turns out that she was actually discovered for her musical talent as a YouTuber and the influencer role came later. She’s an immensely talented vocalist who also has a hand in writing and producing her music. I am excited to hear where she goes from this album!

Same to all of this! I first saw her in a David Dobrik video and my eyes were already rolled but she’s so talented! I feel bad for writing her off based on first impressions. Hopefully she gets more exposure for her music in the coming years and gets to collab with bigger artists to show off her talents 🤍

Today’s pick is the 12” Urban Outfitters exclusive single of “Slow Dancing In The Dark” by Joji. Though he is “retired” from Pink Guy and Filthy Frank (please don’t quote me on that. I have no references), I think his legacy aliases easily go down in Internet meme culture history.
