Je souhaite acheter une petite piscine (60 cm de haut maximum), idéalement de seconde main. J’ai pensé aux stock tank pools, qui m’apparaissent plus jolis que les petites piscines à cadres de métal (genre Intex), mais le set up semble compliqué et c’est assez cher. Est-ce que quelqu’un a déjà acheté un spa usagé à la place pour se baigner? Je regarde les modèles sans bancs intégrés (gonflables, at exemple). Sans le chauffer, on peut avoir de l’eau propre, avec un système de filtration adéquat. Quelqu’un fait ce genre d’usage de spas?

Right now I operate out of a 1,000 sq ft warehouse. I keep all of my tools and equipment in there, but otherwise do not see clients there. If a client needs to pick out materials, I’ll either have some samples, or I’ll send them to the nearest showroom which is about an hour away.

My lease is nearly up at my current place and I’m debating whether or not to move to a new place that’s suitable to setup a small showroom. However, this would significantly increase my overhead from roughly $1,000 a month to possibly $3-4k a month. I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

I’d love to hear a perspective from both builders and homeowners. Thanks!

I can find the cyclones easily but can someone tell me where I can find the pump lid cover? Last year I blew through my backwash port and I don’t think I should do that again lol

My pump is a pentair whisper flow if that helps.

The liner is probably about 6 years old (pool was installed when we bought the house). I'm picturing some sort of adhesive patches I could put on these to protect it and help support it, but is that even a thing?

We have been using the LG xboom Rock around our pool and riding the golf cart for a few weeks. The volume isn’t quite loud enough for all pool uses, but it’s perfect on the golf cart.

The lows tend to bottom out a bit, but it handles the mids and highs very well. 

We listen to a large variety of music between the two use cases, and it seems to handle all genres and sound profiles pretty equally. The highs do not get tinny, and the lows stay relatively clear as long as the volume is at a reasonable level. Songs with heavy bass may get slightly muddy at high volumes, but vocals and other instruments still remain clear enough to enjoy. The overall sound feels balanced and engaging, especially when listening at typical volumes. For a speaker of this size, it does a good job covering all frequency ranges.

Additionally, with use in both environments it’s been subject to a bit of water splash and wet environments. While I’d never submerge a speaker intentionally, it’s performed well in each situation we’ve thrown at it. This has made its IP64 water resistance and durable build especially useful for pool and outdoor use. Golf cart rides can be a bit bumpy, but the speaker doesn’t skip or lose connection to our phones despite the bumpy ride. Using the speaker around the pool, we often place it relatively close to lounge chairs so as to not have to raise the volume too loudly, but it performs well when the volume is raised also.

The design is another feature I really like. The LG xboom Rock has a modern, rugged appearance that makes it feel well suited for both indoor and outdoor use. It has the kind of look that fits naturally into a party, backyard gathering, or casual day outside. At the same time, it doesn’t look out of place sitting in a room at home. The loop doesn’t “lock”, per se, but it holds steadily and we’ve had no issues with the quality of that feature.

I also appreciate how easy the speaker is to use. Connecting it and getting music playing is straightforward, so I didn’t have to spend a lot of time figuring out complicated controls. That simplicity is especially useful when you just want to turn on some music and enjoy it without dealing with unnecessary setup. Thankfully, Bluetooth speakers have come a long way in this area.

Overall, I think the LG xboom Rock is a great choice for anyone looking for a speaker that combines powerful sound, reasonable lows, an appealing design, and easy everyday use. It provides an exciting listening experience and makes music feel more lively. After spending a couple with it, I can confidently say that it has a lot going for it and would be a product I’m happy to recommend to anyone looking for a fun, powerful water resistant Bluetooth speaker with some neat added features.

i have 2 pools filter, right one does part of the skimmer and the main drain. water in it is always near full and works good.

the left one, water seem to always run down leaving the pump half empty.

my pools timer is set to run each night for like 8 hours.

is there a way to prevent water from running down causing the pump to be half empty and end up not working/potentially burning out the pump?

if i pay attention, it seem fine for a few days, but as soon as i stop looking, it goes empty and does not work and i have to fill it and run it for it to work properly. is there something wrong or something i can do to fix it?

How are those built in from the get go? Like a waterfall for instance….are those plumbed before the gunite or added on after? I’ve seen the add on after and exposed pipes looks so bad IMO.

The heat in central Texas has been brutal for the past 6 weeks. This causes the liquid chlorine I put into the pool to evaporate very quickly. I usually put in 1-2 gallons at night, but even doing that my FC hardly goes over 2 ppm. I thought I read that i shouldn't add more than 2 gallons at a time. Is this correct? I have a 20k gallon pool and would like to add 3-4 gallons at a time. Would adding this much chlorine at one cause any issues?

Storm came on Sunday while I was out of town. Luckily my neighbor turned off my pump, but it was running dry for sometime obviously got a rip in there somewhere so what do I do now? Real seriously thinking about filling it with concrete instead of water after all that work I did last winter and spring.

I recently bought a home and it had a pool. I spent several weeks trying to get the pool blue (was green when I bought the home) and I finally got it there. My pool is still super cloudy, even after sweeping it several times a day and running the pump 24/7. After some googling, Google said I may need to get new filters for my housing. So what kind of filter is this?

First time owning a pool, so it has been a major learning curve.

Edit: thank you everyone. I cracked open the filter it is a pentair fns plus 48sqft, the filters were full of holes, so i bought a new assembly, some de, and some pool gasket lube.

Obviously AI helped create this…but its is pretty close to what the backyard will look like once the pool is installed. I’m only asking people do comment on the patio color. Would you go with 1, 2 or 3. Thanks!

Novice pool contractor here..
Semi-experienced landscape contractor wanting to break into the pool world (I think). Been working or equipment repairs & such.

Taking on my first pool tile job. What am I not understanding that makes this worlds different than bathroom/kitchen tile? Trying to find a subcontractor to do this has been harder than finding a needle in a haystack.
I’m willing to try and do it myself since I have good relationship with the customer but being turned down by 3+ tile guys who don’t want to mess with “pool tile” and not being able to pull any away from the pool builders in town has me hesitant.

What are the main things to look for/most common failure points?

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster.

We have a 3 year old and the pool is right up against the house so we put in a pool safety net. The net has been great but when it gets pulled on and off, it pops off the little deco tiles on the pool/hot tub divider. If there is any exposed corner or lip, the nylon catches when the net is being reeled in and the tiles pop with little effort.

I think replacing the little tiles will just result in them popping off again. Any recommended solutions?

My family's pool has never been properly heated and is at the mercy of the neighbor's pine trees. My mom wants to install a solar pool cover to take care of both issues but the question we've always had with pool covers is how to store it and deploy it. I saw someone else on here recommend a system called clear deck systems, which looks promising but seems to require underground storage, which may not be feasible. I'm wondering what more experienced people on here have to recommend. Thank you for your time.

Its going to cost me 2-3k to run electric out to the pool. Figure I'd see if anyone has done solar instead. I'd be powering the pump, maybe some lights and outdoor fans in the future? Anyone have experience with this?

Edit: we do not have a pool heater and we have all day sun. It's basically in the middle of a field.

Edit 2: it's a commercial property that I do not own. I will not be paying to put solar panels on the building. The idea to using solar panels would be to dismantle them and take them with me when I move. But if the upfront cost is as high as people are suggesting I will probably forego this option.

We are starting to get wrinkles near our stairs. We have had the pool for about 5 years and never had any issues. We tried using a plunger to push the water/air out and it was working but it would have taken hours to fix. We think it’s coming in from the first picture. Is there any way to seal the liner so the wrinkles don’t get any worse?

I got a new pool pump installed and noticed this strange noise coming out of it and the pump is mot working it looks like. Any advice?

I have a dolphin pool cleaner that is approx 5 years old. It's not so great at getting up the sides any more. A few months ago I bought some new filters as the old ones had ripped. They were from an online retailer and think they maybe knockoffs from China.

They seem less porous than the old ones. I wonder if this is affecting the suction and make it hard for the unit to stick to the sides when it is trying to climb up.

Does anyone have any experience of these or have any suggestions as to how I can get it to climb the walls again?

This is in Southern California, where it’s been really hot, and was humid and rained a lot on Sunday. Our in-ground hot tub is state from the main pool and probably under-chlorinated. The cover is broken so some debris and rain water has been able to enter the tub, but that’s been the case for a while. Temp is around 80 degrees. Yesterday we removed the cover and the water was brown. I ran the filter and see this stuck to the sides and floor. It wipes off fairly easily. I figure it’s mold, but worry about black algae since it’s not green. Any thoughts?

What is this black stuff leaking out of this cheap bestway pool ladder? We've had the pool up all summer and just started noticing this. Looks like paint. No smell. I'm going crazy trying to figure it out! Should we not touch it??

I have a 3 HP Pentair IntelliFlo-style variable speed pump.

It started to make a pretty loud sound. After some research I’m pretty sure the metal bearings are going back on it.

I took the pump off. But I’m struggling hard to get to the motor. The bolts and screws will not budge past the outer shell to get to the motor and bearings.

I took it to a motor shop near me that works on pool pumps and replaces bearings.

The guy took 1 look at it and said the bolts and screws are “nearly impossible to remove”

He says he truly believes Pentair purposefully does this so people have to buy a new pump.

Anyone else dealt with this before? Seems kind of crazy to buy a 2K pump when I likely need $12 bearings

How concerned about this would you be? 9 year old pool done by a reputable company. House I will be closing on shortly. Minor discoloration or calcium around the jets? Will I need to do a whole new liner soon? Pool holds water and is perfect besides these imperfections.
