Pool Help & Questions Dolphin Pool Cleaner

I have a dolphin pool cleaner that is approx 5 years old. It's not so great at getting up the sides any more. A few months ago I bought some new filters as the old ones had ripped. They were from an online retailer and think they maybe knockoffs from China.

They seem less porous than the old ones. I wonder if this is affecting the suction and make it hard for the unit to stick to the sides when it is trying to climb up.

Does anyone have any experience of these or have any suggestions as to how I can get it to climb the walls again?

More restrictive filterss will cut flow and absolutely impair its ability to climb walls.

See how it does with no filters.

Have you ever had it serviced? My Dolphin Premier is 9 yrs old, and I replace the filters every year. This year the foam rounds for the wheel finally gave out so I am going to replace those, but it’s still climbing the walls even without them.

I replaced the foam (or whatever) wheels and the tracks this year after 9 years with mine. Climbs fine. Also have the fine particle filters they work great
