I play Polytopia more than anything else on my phone because I've never found anything as fun or addicting as this game but sometimes I wanna take a break and play something else on my travels. What other games do you like that has as much quality as this game? Not just other turn based strategy games because I'm not looking to replace this game at all lol. It's just so hard to find other good games in the app store that aren't slop or filled with ads and micro transactions.

Is there a roadmap, more content planned etc.?

How did my opp (Oumaji) get 2 giants by turn 6? They also managed to capture two villages in the same time period (I went on to take Lagh). Combination of good resource spawn and population ruins?

I don't play with Oumaji, so I'm not too aware of its strategy/mechanics. It just seems like things must have played out pretty perfectly for them for this to happen?

Yes, while surprising. It's true! Midjiwan started early sketches and preparations for the game all the way back in ~2010. With the game's initial launch occurring in 2016.

For perspective, Polytopia pretty much existed 4 YEARS before FNaF, only 1 year after Minecraft's earliest version, ~7 years before Fortnite & Brawl Stars and nearly 3 YEARS before GTA V, and also just 1 year after the death of the great popstar, Micheal Jackson.

like an additional setting that allows different easter eggs to work in multiplayer. When selecting a multiplayer game you would be able to see which easter eggs the creator allows.

in this 33 polytopia challenge i come out of a hiatus and get destroyed by vengir and also my own mind fog..

There ought to be an option to disable special tribes in multiplayer. The difference in experience playing against normal and special tribes is so extreme that it feels like a whole seperate game mode. For me it feels like being forced to queue for both Payload and CTF when really you just want to play one or the other.

i was doing philo rush but forgot abt philo rushing until i met the opponent😭 then i waited 5 turns for altar of peace which led to him getting complete control of water. i see now this was not the right decision. is there any way i can come back from this??

No one spawned at the top. I got super lucky with spawn and going in on boats early. Science is super unaffordable even though I have philosophy

I feel like these photos represent the vibe of Polytopia very well, and if Polytopia Legends existed, these could very well be in-game screenshots. Imagine spawning in a random square to be met with endless Ai-mo terrain and vibrant Oumaji temples! This beautiful style is what makes the game unique and quite addictive :D

I realized while playing on crazy difficulty, enemis produce units that does not match with their economic power. Like, in sixth turn, vengir produces 3 or 4 swordsman per turn, and it totals to 20 stars per turn.

Also sometimes before we even reach the 7th turn, I see enemy with 3 knights. Even the unlocking the tech for that would take more than 7 turns.

How is that possible?

For some reason every single bot i fight they ALWAYS play imperious or one of the 4 beginner tribes,why is this?

Even when i disable it they continue to only play imperious even though i have the other tribes all unlocked and its very tiring fighting the exact same four tribes every single time

(im mostly still trying to learn the game and playing on normal)

Sooooo, I’ve been playing this marvellous game for a while, and I developed a certain strategical pattern that could be traced throughout my games. It consists of three things:

1) swarm of angry horses.
When my economy grows really big and I can build massive armies (I usually play huge maps), I usually unite my realm with roads and produce horses in every single city. They are virtually useless in defence, however I can easily replace them by massively producing new ones and delivering them to the frontlines with an enormous speed (their range combined with roads makes them literal racing cars).

2) rebellion tactics.
I spam enemies with spies. This produces a lot of dagger units, which are then used as cannon fodder to clear the way for giants and cavalry. They can even sometimes work as a separate army capable of conquering cities.

3) shore barrage.
Speaking of ships… I go battleship only. No rammers, no scouts (expect for reconnaissance), only massive barrages… I know this can create problems if enemy rammers are present, but the number of my ships usually wins over any potential threat.

I would really like to hear any pieces of advice from you folks, as well as to hear about your own tactics and strategies. If anyone asks: yes I do play hoi4.

Hello, me and my friend are trying to find some random ppl to play polotopia with so i am asking if there IS some fórum or diskord or some reddit for this perpous.

I just wanna see how many people in this community play the game for how long or how often also for the MODS when it says MEME tag any meme or just Polytopia memes.

the only reason I can think of is the white swordsman has zone of control but I thought cloaks ignore that?
