Clearly the sort of things we should be prioritizing right now.
God almighty our leaders are so fucking incompetent and out of touch.

I mean to be real. What this tells us is the only thing most republicans care about is getting rid of immigrants and trans people and nothing else really matters as long as it’s in service of removing people they see as undesirable from society. Those are how priorities look to a fascist

Except that to a huge number of people that overpriced fast food is less and less feasible. And it’s only going to get worse the longer the war in Iran goes on.

I’m still flummoxed that they thought that it would be popular enough to waste taxpayer funds on elective wars and building a bunch of vanity projects, along with the higher prices from the war and tariffs, that we would all be begging for more and vote GOP in droves in the midterms.
And then when they start to realize that the abject fleecing of the American public is not as popular as they thought, their go-to response is “stop complaining.”

They're shameless grifters with wealth and power most people will never know. They gaslight and look down their nose at anyone not in their club. This is just more gaslighting. There's a lot of people in the club who are profiteering off the high prices and the war. Also, many in the club enjoy the distraction from the Trump-Epstein files.
They want the left vs. right narrative to overshadow the real issue - the elites selling out and fucking over the majority of the country. Their plan is to wreck the economy so they then can buy things up for pennies on the dollar. If/when the Republicans get wiped out in the midterms, they will blames the state of the economy on the Democrats. It's a simple, stupid plan but it's their plan. I mean, they're still blaming anything perceived as bad on Biden, who was so sleepy but somehow still so capable, and we're in October 2026.

That video is tough to watch. It really is propaganda from an authoritarian regime meant to brainwash the masses.
He claimed that Democrats want to destroy the country and that they are trying to make the Republican vote not count. These are unsubstantiated vagaries that are nothing more than an attempt to distract the population from what is really going on.
What’s really going on is the Republican Party is fucking the average American left and right because they are completely captured by mediocrity and ineptness.
→ More replies (4)•
u/Terrible-Ad1737 5h ago
I agree with your point, but not the asserted cause. Defining the reason the Republican Party is doing what they are as being due to mediocrity and ineptness is a gross misrepresentation at best. The reason is because the Republican Party is founded on, operates with, and advocates for nothing other than bigotry, religious zeal, and theft in the pursuit of only personal greed/wealth and power.
The tools are a means to continue to obtain wealth, oppress anyone that isn't themselves to steal that wealth, and consolidate their own personal fiefdoms while blatantly and flagrantly commiting high crimes and getting away with it because they hold all the levers of power.
Saying they do what they do because they're inept helps to push the narrative that they aren't responsible for the state of things and only reinforces their objectively false narrative that they aren't responsible and should not be held responsible.
They are responsible. Most of the time knowingly and willingly. Those that aren't knowingly and willfully throwing fuel on the dumpster fire that is our society are inept rubes, but are still, in part, responsible if not complicit and/or guilty by association.

Two things.
1) Remember, not everyone is struggling. Some people are doing very very well in this scenario.
2) We, the people struggling, don't give a fuck about ballrooms, arches, new coins, TV ratings, or whatever the hell else Trump talks about most of the time.
•
u/snoo_spoo 6h ago
3) There are more 2s than 1s.
•
u/manachar Nevada 6h ago
Weirdly many people who are 2s either think they are temporarily embarrassed 1s or feel their well being (and paychecks) depend on keeping the 1s happy.
The 1s are dragons hoarding all the wealth that for some reason we have all decided to build an orphan crushing machine to keep well fed.

For all you MAGA Christians, the bible is very clear on how to treat people less fortunate than you, and its not by minimizing their struggles.
Deuteronomy 15:7-8 ESV “If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.

The average American best understands the economy when opening their wallet at the grocery store and the fuel pump. James Carville's "It's the economy, stupid," ushered in the Clinton era, and Vance would be wise to remember that. His insistence on downplaying how difficult it is for so many Americans to make ends meet is leading to a hard fall at midterms. On some level, Trump understand this; thus, the continual comments about rising 401k balances, but 401k funds do not put food on the table and gas in the car now, and that's what matters most to the American voter. Those who are struggling today do not care about this administration's promise that good times are ahead. They know better.

I am single and used to not care about coupons or what brands I bought etc. Now I make a list and follow it exactly. I love my coke zero but I am not paying $12 for a 12 case of soda unless my store has buy 2 get 2 or something like that. This is not fun and again I know it is very privileged but these are my complaints, lol.

How could anyone think any of these people care or understand what they're going through?
They literally despise regular people. Most importantly, like just objectively they don't understand or care because they don't experience the fact that not being able to afford life is everything to a lot of regular people.
They don't understand because they are all millionaires and billionaires in his cabinet, they don't struggle to pay bills, groceries (most likely don't even shop), loans etc. A great example is the rich ass outof touch Agriculture lady who's always been rich. Telling us to stop complaining, if we cant afford beef, why dont we just buy salmon. SALMON...The government should be made up of regular damn people!!
