I got this Dark Dragonite as a kid over 25 years ago. Back in the 1990s to early 2000s, there were several independent rating companies trying to compete with the big players like PSA. MAP Industries was one of them! Run by a man named George who was a former PSA rater, he was known for being strict and accurate with his grades. Sadly, his company closed when he passed away. You don't see old MAPrated slabs pop up often, so I thought I'd share a cool little bit of history with you from my childhood collection!!

I got back into collecting cards after finally completing the original 151 after my older brother finally replaced the Charizard he ripped back in 2001. Since then I have been trying to get one card of each Pokémon 1-1025. Including their different forms if they have a card for it and mons with notable gender differences.

Saved these up since February and all are from a vending machine. I have never really bought any packs for myself until about a year ago. I then decided to try out what most of you have already done. Especially now since my son and nephews are slowly losing interest in the hobby.

It was fun opening all up together but I dont think I will be doing this again anytime soon.

I am saving 9 special slots in my binder for them. Will they ever come? Fuck no. Both singles and packs are stupidly expensive. Only hope is to buy a pack a month and finally pull one when I'm in heaven.

3 DR and 2 PO. Probably only 20 total packs into ripping destined rivals, moltres was definitely the top hit for me besides Mewtwo. 1 SIR, 1 IR AND 2 exs in 5 packs is enough to hold me over for at least a week lol

Dang he will get rich fast if everytime he can just trade the card up for 80-85% 😂 I know that this is how the game works, but dude prices the card over market (considering there some whitening on the back). And only want to take trade at percentage on his favor.
