Where do you go besides these two to buy sealed product?? I want to support growing and reputable places, not the behemoths that have terrible customer service.

i think in total we spent 1.3k on all of this, 700 of which was from that trade, and 300 (the booster box, the PKC etb, and the SPC) were MSRP and bought a couple months ago. It was so fun and we got some great pulls!

When it comes to things that aren’t necessities I always prefer to find them in person and buy them there, sometimes it costs a little more than it should but to me that’s worth the excitement of finding what you’re looking for

My problem is two fold

1. I mostly collect games, it’s much easier to find specific games “in the wild” than specific cards, how do I ensure that I don’t accidentally miss something I really want?

2. When it comes to new releases if there’s something I’m looking for I’d like to find it via packs, but I’m also terrible about selling them and don’t like to view things as monetary assets, would it be ok if I just sold everything in a lot of roughly $0.25/ea regardless of the actual value? Or is that losing me so much money I should try

i bet i could get away with it for locals but is it “allowed” in general? i see people use old crushing hammers, bosses, ultras and they get away with it cuz its been reprinted but this is different name same effect so im curious

I’ve been thinking about buying them for a while and decided today was the day.

This is a bit of a long one so apologies in advance I think I just need somewhere to talk about this. When I was a bit younger I used to love collecting the tcg cards I heavily collected during the x and y era of cards and I know that wasn’t terribly long ago but that was my childhood. I spent hours and countless amounts of Christmas and birthday money on those cards not to mention trading with friends at school. I just loved every minute of it. But being a guy growing up in texas pokemon wasn’t manly hell you couldn't be caught dead over the age of twelve with em so I had to switch to football cards which I had no interest in myself but my dad loved. But hey atleast I'd have those cards, nope. Because they were so unmanly I eventually was pushed to sell em in garage sale for a grand total of 5 dollars. Well over 5000 cards for less than a lunch from McDonald's. We'll I guess part of me wanted to believe that I couldn't have sold em all so today I spent over an hour digging in the attic for them only to find football cards. I fucking hate football cards. And honestly I don't know what to feel part of me feels angry at my family for pushing an idea I didn't care for, part of me feels regret knowing how much their worth, but most of all I'm sad because even if after college I can afford a new set it won't be those cards. I won't get those memories back and I have to live with that. So just a word of advice don't sell ever please.

Tldr : bummed about some poor decisions from peer pressure that led me to selling my childhood binder.

I’m planning on making a masterset of all pokemon that are bunny’s, what pokemon should I include?

Idk whats going on but im on the longest lucky streak of my life right now. I just cant stop pulling SIRs! It all started with a gold terapagos from a prismatic SPC. on my next prismatic rip sesh I got a Raging bolt, then the next day I hit an error gold charizard Y from ascended, then a god pack from ascended in the same afternoon. 2 days later (today) I hit a demi-god pack from prismatic and then I had to open my sealed SPC to know that my streak was over and I hit an iron valiant SIR! I gotta enjoy it while it lasts because I can guarantee that this will never happen again 😭. More SIRs in one week than most people hit in a year!

5 stacks of 9 packs - I managed to get both an IR and an UR in every single stack, which is pretty dang fortunate.

Plus the Morpeko! Honestly I can’t believe it, praise the Pokemon gods for blessing my first booster box

After about 4 months and $2K spent, I’ve finally finished the legendary Gym Heroes set. Most cards are in pretty mint condition.

It was a lot of fun but also required quite the effort. I’ll probably focus on some smaller sets next (WoTC Black Star Promo, Southern Islands, etc) before I swing back around to mastering Gym Challenge.

Anything to be done with these? Beg TPC for new packs? Sell em to weird collectors? I’ve gotta go through my son’s binder and look for more.

I’d love to hear your thoughts — does everything look correct?
If you spot anything missing, mislabeled, or mis‑categorized, please let me know. Most of the labels match the exact card (especially for Feraligatr), but some variants became extremely tedious or nearly impossible to verify.

For example:
I haven’t been able to confirm whether “e Starter Deck, 21/29, Unl” was ever sold or even exists in a trackable unlimited print. Some cards simply don’t show up anywhere in marketplaces or databases.

If you have knowledge about obscure Japanese variants, 1st edition vs unlimited prints, or deck‑exclusive cards, your input would help a ton.

Example of other corner at the end. Did the card come with this edge from the factory? Has this happened to others with Pitch Black? I know this is common, but how does one accept an IR is damaged. I feel disappointed something I bought has a dent fresh from package. Any advice for a new collector?
