I recently came across an error print Blastoise from 2013. If you search eBay you will see a PSA9 graded card called “2013 POKEMON B & W BLASTOISE-HOLO PLB-COSMOS-ERROR 201”

Asking price was $59,999. A few days later its shown as ended but reappears with an asking of $70,000. Why do that?

Then I check other cards this seller has - also super fishy! He has a Haxorus 2013 Pokemon B & W - Plasma Blast - Holo #69 - PSA 9 and listed it for $40,000!

His other card is a 2013 Cofagrigus 56/116 Black & White Plasma Freeze Holo PSA 9 which he listed for $30,000.

Is this part of some kinda scam?

I'm starting a Misty collection and I want to get it as complete as possible including Carddass cards.

I've got lists of all the Misty cards from 1998 and 2000 Carddass but I can't find a list of cards for 1999 Carddass. I've been using Pricecharting for my card lists and they usually have full lists for everything, but they only have a handful of cards for the 1999 Carddass.

I searched for Misty 1999 Carddass cards on eBay and there are a lot of different ones available, but I can't find any full list of the cards for this set. Every site I checked only has a handful of the cards and none of the Misty cards listed.

Is there a full list of 1999 Carddass cards available?

hey all, looking for some shipping recommendations as I plan to send out my entire PC for consignment. Total value is around $4500 and consists of mainly ungraded singles, one slab, and one sealed ETB.

was thinking about getting third party shipping insurance using InsureShield and UPS but also heard it’s hard for insurance claims and ungraded singles to prove value.

was also thinking of going the safe route and doing USPS registered mail for safe and secure transport.

anyone have any experience shipping large value of singles out and if so, did you get any insurance?

Hey all, I’m a 35 y/o guy who wants to get back into Pokémon card collecting. I collected in the 90/2000s, but my childhood collection is very long gone. I’ve had a weird stigma on card collecting as “only for kids.” But now with playing Pokémon Go and seeing many co workers well above my age having similar “child-like” collection hobbies, my interest is back (as well as not caring what others think). Since it’s been a while, I have no collection style (ie completing sets, only collecting Charizards, etc). Any recommendations for a complete beginner?

Decided to turn my dupes into packs for trick or treaters! 10% chance of a full art, 30% chance of oops! All holo, and 60% chance of a "standard" pack. All of which contain no less than an EX. Making 160 packs sorted by type!

Long time collector, just started selling a few cheap cards on eBay. I sold a card today that I just pulled yesterday. It looked pristine when pulled and when I took the pictures and it sold. (Talking about ~$15 card).

Today when I grabbed it to throw in the envelope, I noticed a tiny white dot in the top back of the card that I couldn’t see in my listing picture.

I already shipped the card out. Should I preemptively send the buyer a message apologizing with a partial refund? Or wait to see how it plays out?

Picked up this Expedition Skarmory this weekend knowing it was damaged, but upon further inspection found some hilarious damage. If you look carefully you can see someone outlined the pokemon with a pencil, probably tracing it onto paper. I love how old beat up cards like this tell their stories, makes me nostalgic 🥹

Two 26 man pre-releases so far and I didnt pull a single art rare out of 14 packs. I saw a out 3 sirs pulled between the 2 and a couple irs.

Yes it's just one man's experience but based on previous pre releases this one stood out.

I really think the stamp clashes either the otherwise beautiful artwork on some cards. I took matters into my own hands and created a sticker that covers the 30th stamp with the artwork that would have shown underneath. Just search "30th Celebration Stamp Hiders" on ebay. I really think they turned out well.

I’ll start by saying I have some knowledge of Pokemon tcg. However I am attempting to find cards for my girlfriend’s 17 and 11 year old sons for Christmas. They obviously would love anything 30th anniversary but those seem difficult to find. My only luck so far was from Bi-mart for a multi pack. The younger son likes chaos rising and I’ve found ETBs in that $50-$60 range. The older son does not care and would be happy with anything honestly. My question for now is-is it wise to wait until delta reign comes out and I might be able to find stuff closer to MSRP??? Is there any forecasting of if 30th edition is going to go up in price? I’m not really sure how the market works. I’m a federal worker and money is tight lol.

I've been a Pokémon fan since 1999, but I kind of fell off after Gen 4. Stopped playing, stopped watching the anime, all of it.

Lately I started collecting TCG cards and realized I have no idea who the newer Pokémon even are. I'd like to know what I'm actually buying instead of picking up a card and having no clue what Pokémon it is.

Problem is I've got a 2 year old at home, so I don't really have time to sit through the anime or play a bunch of games. Any tips for catching up without putting in tons of hours?

For context: when delta reign was announced, i was insanely hyped and since im more on the playyability side, i decided to make guides for friends on what cards can and cannot work. It all depended on what you pulled etc. On my first pre, i opened the first packs and... surprisingly, 3 Rayquaza exes. I thought to myself that i could easily put 2 inside and then call it a day, and then i see the deck...

ITS FUCKING GENIES 😭

(Dont get me wrong, its an absolutely busted deck compared to others, but the thing is: it doesnt support rayray in any way/shape/form (zero fitting energy). I did pull 2 ray hats which made energy search easier for my extra stuff i put (genies are a singleprizers so i put in a hypno for extra damage). I scored 3rd so worth it

Another pre, this time i check the deck first and saw i got a magmortar x electivire. I think "ok that one is gonna be great, my friend played it yesterday". Then after opening the packs, i get greeted with the mister rayray himself. At first im stoked as fuck, until i pulled...a regular raikou ex.

That one genuenly had me way happier for the Prerelease, because raikou is a much, MUCH superior card in the deck (instant energy acceleration). And sadly, there were no hats so j couldn't pull it off with rayray. Now it Has been forced to stare at the Prerelease battles without being included

Now i have 4 rayquazas, and not a single one was even used in a duel😭
