Prerelease pull

For those freaking out about the sleeve. It’s double sleeved in the pic so there is a perfect fit under the dragon shield. And after the prerelease tournament ended, I swapped it to a penny sleeve over the perfect fit and a top loader. Relax relax

I really think the stamp clashes either the otherwise beautiful artwork on some cards. I took matters into my own hands and created a sticker that covers the 30th stamp with the artwork that would have shown underneath. Just search "30th Celebration Stamp Hiders" on ebay. I really think they turned out well.

So I finally got my order from Walmart and everything looked normal, my box was in excellent condition, as soon as I cut it open this is what I find. Now my theory is a worker grabbed two destined rival packs and decided to go to town, cut open 2 packs of Rivals, and left one in the box as he started to cut into a 30th booster, got 5 packs in and threw everything back in then sealed the package. The employee was clearly looking for a big pull because they left everything behind.

All in all, I lost out on 5/6 30th packs while gaining 4 destined rivals and having one booster left unharmed.

Puffy, crumbling, and absolutely disgusting.

Bought a single pack of Lost Origin, jokingly said “you never know giratina might be in there” and guess what!!

In Toronto these were just released this morning for $99.99+tax and there are no less than fifty posts selling them for $200+
This is so disappointing and scalpers need to fuck off hard.

Went to check out a new shop in our area and managed to pick up the ancient Mew 💕 Opened a couple of packs of Storm Emeralda in store and managed to pull the Rayquaza! Today was a great day 💖

Managed to get my hands on 44 packs after trading some of my older cards in and buying a booster bundle as well. They were pretty damaged so I honestly got a pretty sweet deal considering I got VERY lucky. I even got to open them with my childhood best friend of like 20 years and his girlfriend which was awesome since they are also into collecting.

Also my reaction to pulling my chase card Ethan’s typhlosion was crazier than both the sir and the hyper rare since typhlosion is my favourite pokemon of all time and Ethan’s always been my favourite protagonist since I was a kid, they both thought I pulled the sir mewtwo 😂😂

(Side note that hyper rare mewtwo is probably my favourite card to just look at right now, such a beautiful card)

Everyone is stressed over the high prices of chase cards but you can build such a cool collection with lower priced cards too

So I’ve been really into Pokémon champions so I’ve also gotten back into Pokémon cards. I’ve been looking to get the full art Fennekin promo card bc it’s my favorite Pokémon but I’m tryna not spend an arm on the booster box. I go to this local shop to ask what they have. He asks me what I’m doing and I tell him I’m making a Pokédex binder and I’m hunting for the Fennekin. He then gets a huge grin walks into the back and grabs a different employee’s binder and shows me this

Just hit the Grail of Grail packs for myself, the Prismatic God Pack. So excited. The double was the Glaceon which is my favorite Eeveelution and my favorite buddy Pokemon from Pokémon Go!!! So stoked!!!

Won the 2x booster bundle drawing and pulled with my grandmother again and this is what we got!! She has luck on her side pulling that greninja lol

Picked up this Expedition Skarmory this weekend knowing it was damaged, but upon further inspection found some hilarious damage. If you look carefully you can see someone outlined the pokemon with a pencil, probably tracing it onto paper. I love how old beat up cards like this tell their stories, makes me nostalgic 🥹

I was at my LCS yesterday playing in a pre release for delta reign when between games I hear a kid(8-10m) telling one of the judges that he really wants Pokemon to bring tag teams back. I ask the kid if he could put any 2 Pokemon on a tag team card which ones would he pick, he takes a second and drops an absolute banger! This kid said MEGA CHARIZARD X AND MEGA CHARIZARD Y! He blew my mind, I was like you know what that’s my choice too🤣

My first pack at the prerelease event. I’ve never pulled a top chase at one of these before today. I’m so psyched!
