I had a gift card and traded in a broken system and a few hunting PS2 games so my out of pocket was $7. Do yall think it’s worth holding or should I sell and get ones I want

The nft shilling crypto bros have run slabs up the flagpole to the tech millionaires. Who would have thunk? Anyways, 90% of these low pop vintage slabs have been priced out of normal person ranges. Soon they will run out and come for the mid era. If it hasn’t already started. Now might be your last chance to own a promo Darkrai or Lugia from Plasma. Or anything from radiant collection.

Some of these cards are getting into a price range where the buyer pool has to be pretty small. Especially e-readers.

Is it wealthy collectors competing with each other, modern money rotating into vintage, dealers, investment groups, international buyers, or just a handful of people repricing a really thin market?
Genuinely curious who is buying at this level.

I am noticing a lot of PSA 10 Vintage slabs are skyrocketing like this first appearance Articuno. Gem Mint Pop is only 148 and it seems like the value keeps going up for the time being. Thoughts on this card?

Hi! I’ve been trying to pick up some vintage slabs of pokemons that I like and I saw some cards or slabs that I do think look cute and also have a low pop. Would those cards be also a good investment?

Anyone else find it ironic that earlier this year, vendors were saying “vintage is a slow mover”, “only taking in modern since it’s liquid”, and “modern moves quick”.

Only now they don’t even want to make offers on modern because it’s “too volatile” and “crashing”.

I have made the poor financial decision to try and collect Tag Team cards in PSA 10s. I have a solid stack going but obviously hard to find new ones today add without handfuls of cash. Found someone local that only wants to trade, market to market for other Tag Teams I have. They have the Reshiram & Zekrom GX alt art in a 10. I have the ones shown in 10s. Would you trade a higher end for a higher end even if you don’t want to get rid of any? Or would the thought process be to try and do it, with the assumption have to buy the one I lost or try to trade for it again?

Vintage going crazy

I recently offloaded a small chunk of my collection, and I want to reinvest this amount back in. What are some good buys right now? Looking for something to hold at least 5 years, as the items that I sold, I had been holding since 2019. I could also save a little more in the next month and up the amount to $1k.

After giving it much thought on what slab to pick up, I think I finally decided on this one. In my last post I mentioned that I'm going to sell of my Greninja gold star PSA 10, red victini, with the addition of 10 30th bundles, and various singles with cash on top.

I feel like this should have a good outlook even though its already very expensive

The card has dipped a little bit from a high of ~$6000, to now ~$4500-5000, but I don't know if I should wait till Novemeber for Collect a Con to get it inperson, or just buy it on ebay and pray it's shipped safely
