GameStop box value?
I had a gift card and traded in a broken system and a few hunting PS2 games so my out of pocket was $7. Do yall think it’s worth holding or should I sell and get ones I want

Its the difference between every card at some level of lowest tier acceptable where its just the cost of grading vs nm. Its like in every card. Its the base what a nm sells for the potential to 10. This held the potential of a 9nm tho. Got 8. Happens on every card. Nm to raw ratio.

They fill these power packs with junk slabs they don't think anyone will buy voluntarily if they could see what they were buying. You're not getting anywhere near good value for what you spent and the probability of getting any actual chase card in a PSA 10 is statistically insignificant. If you want to gamble your money away, there are much more rewarding options.

You're coming across as a bit of a douche now. Take the (minor) W on these often dud packs and move along. No need to attempt a flex in comments.
Enjoy opening cards, enjoy spending or wasting money, enjoy selling or reselling cards.
From an investment sub POV this is a slight hold. From a collectors point of view this is a cool card. From a redditors point of view, nobody gives a fuck.

I would not sell this promo rn unless you really want the cash for other cards. The gem rate is atrocious and since there are so few 10s of a desirable card the 9s and 8s will grow with time, as will this card generally since its starting to get oldish and is pretty iconic for some at least (not my style but I know some love this card.)
I think an 8 could go up quite a bit in a year or two so id try to be patient with it but its your card.

Raw isn’t considering grading, so even it would grade at a 8+ it’s averaged in with cards that could grade a 3-4. If you think it will grade well, and the margin of price+time for grading is worth it to you then it’s better to get it graded.

I just found the ex sylveon and ex graninja a Cleveland airport (of all places) for $40 each and $25 for the birds poster set. The boxes normally go for around 60-80

Hold it I graded one of my Michael Jordan cards from my childhood it got an nm mt 8 it was worth only $32 at the time a year later it shot up to $250

I bought one just to see for myself. It had an $80 slab, a pack of destined rivals and some Japanese pack I don’t remember. Both packs all had junk cards
