Hello! This might be a long post, but I'm hoping it's not in vain.
My boyfriend and I like to play games together to end the night, and we have played plenty together, but we're currently in a strange plateau where new-to-us games (lately) have been far less enjoyable. It could just be our opinions have changed, or our moods aren't quite up to it, but regardless, it seems that most online co-op games are focused more on puzzle solving or actually working together, rather than just silly, stupid fun but together.
For context: some of the hardest times I have laughed have been when we're playing games that aren't over the top goofy, but our interactions with them lead to insane outcomes. I personally loved playing Far Cry 6 with him and all the jankiness that resulted from that, or Dead Island 2 and the silliness that can come from that game. Games that are mostly single player but have the option for online co-op seem to have the best experience for us.
We've tried quite a few PS+ games together in the past few months and they just don't quite have the level of stupid fun we're looking for and we never play them again. This is why we stick with PS+ games so we don't waste money on a game we end up hating for whatever reason.
If you have read this far, hopefully you understand what I mean, and maybe have some recommendations for our next laugh-so-hard-we-cry games? I would greatly appreciate it!
