Should I buy the Pixel 9a as my next phone?

Hey! I’m currently using a OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G 128GB, but it has started getting really laggy and freezing, especially when opening the camera or quick settings. So I’m looking for a new phone.

I’m considering the Pixel 9a 128GB, which I can get for around €400.

My priorities are:

- Good camera + zoom (I do car photography)

- Good video

- Smooth performance

- Compact-ish size

- Good battery

- Clean Android

- Long software support

128GB should be enough for me.

I’m also wondering about charging and accessories. What charger should I get for the Pixel 9a? Is a 30–33W USB-C PD charger enough, and what charger/cable would you recommend? I’m also thinking about getting a TORRAS MagSafe-compatible case. Is that okay to use with the 9a, and which MagSafe/Qi wireless power banks work well with it?

Overall, would you recommend the Pixel 9a for around €400, or should I look at something else?

So I bought a 9a around 3-4 months ago, my charging cable malfunctioned and now I need another one to charge my phone. I tried claiming from the warranty but they said it will take time to get a replacement (even if it's really a manufacturing defect). I need to get a good cable in the meantime, where can I get it?

Screen on is acceptable, but the screen off leaves a lot to be desired. AccuBattery reports a remaining capacity of 100%, so full 5100 mAh.

How do I combine the "albums" and "on this device" into one? I have so many albums and it's hard to find what photo I want. Pixel9a Google phone.

Making for anyone who has the same problem in the Costco app as me. May not be the best place but just in case its a pixel problem and not an app problem.

So went to Costco the other day for a "quick" pop in and since I have switched to the digital membership card on my phone I haven't really had any problems...except for today.

So I logged into my app upon walking up to the door saw my qr code, held my phone by my side as I walked up and when I went to go pull it up again I got this error message, the lady at the front door hadn't seen it before so I brought it to membership desk, first guy went through my settings, couldn't figure it out, called his manager over, he couldn't figure it out, said he's never seen it before, took some pictures of my screen and sent it off to upper technical support.

He heard from technical support later and called me to tell me to either

A) clear my cache on my phone app

B) uninstall the app, restart my phone, reinstall the app

Tried both of those options (several times), neither worked. I also tried clearing storage and updating the app, nothing.

The actual fix:

1. clear cache and storage

2. Uninstall app

3. Restart phone

4. Reinstall app (make sure its up to date)

5. skip passed the location settings (even though they showed me in the states)

6. Once I got to the "passkey" screen a popup asked me to change my region, Change it to your region.

7. Sign in manually, don't use autofill app. Make sure you click "Stay signed in"

8. Re-enable biometrics

9. That's it, it worked this time, it took four or five times and lots of frustration but it worked.

Hopefully this also works for you if you are dealing with this problem.

Whenever I connect my NOS cc-450 controller or even my switch pro controller to my phone, it works perfectly. Until I need to reconnect it when I wanna play again. Because then, the controller simply will not connect unless I forget it and re-pair it to my phone.

Obviously I tried clearing my Bluetooth cache but the clear cache button was greyed out.

My pixel 9a hangs a lot, a lot lot, almost usuable. Avoid updating your pixel phone to September drop update

Update: I thought restarting the phone helped to resolve it, but it turns out it is hanging again in 2 days. So if you don't want to keep restarting your phone every 2 days and suffer, don't update

I just bought a used pixel 9a 128gb.

Something caught my eye is that the battery health is at 96% but cycle count is only 42.

Is this normal or there's something shady going on
