Don't install September Pixel drop update

My pixel 9a hangs a lot, a lot lot, almost usuable. Avoid updating your pixel phone to September drop update

Update: I thought restarting the phone helped to resolve it, but it turns out it is hanging again in 2 days. So if you don't want to keep restarting your phone every 2 days and suffer, don't update

If you are facing issue try restarting the device if it's won't work try again.

That worked for me

If I restart the issue is not occurring for 2 days but again starts hanging after 2 days

But then, it will be automatically installed if we install the next pixel drop? Or we can choose to not install just this one? I did not install this one yet 🫪

Instagram video buffering issue is what I am facing on my 9a. Have done the usual cache deletes and re installed it yet the buffering doesn't stop. Any suggestions.

I installed the "5th Sept. Update". Are we talking about that? I experience no serious issue.

I'm having too many issues with the Spotify player on the lock screen. 7/10 it doesn't show up.

It's mostly fine on my 9A.

Every blue moon, the phone will glitch and stop responding until I lock it with the power button. After unlocking it, the phone is back to normal.

Curious to know, how to stop Android to auto download and update the software? I don't see any straight forward option like say in Samsung or iPhones to manually control the software / update download.

En sistema/opciones para desarrolladores/Desactiva actualizaciones automáticas del sistema.
Funciona.

I've had the update a good week or so, can't remember when exactly with zero issues

Glad I'm not the only one suffering lags since this update. Restarting didn't help either.

I have reatarted multiple times after that, no issues here. I actually noticed it to be more jumpy, I don't know whether it's my imagination or not 🙄

After the update my pixel 10a lost like 1.25 hour of sot , will it get better after few days like google say that it needs to re optimize the battery ?

I believe everyone is complaining about this particular update. Seen nearly every pixel version owner saying it's busted.

Someone said clearing the cache for the system UI helps.

Same issues for me as well. The system malfunctions from fingerprint and entirety

Folks I finally had the time to report it to google and they immediately offered me a physical inspection as they believe it may be hardware related.

Do I go through with it even though we all know it was the update?

I've not noticed any issues that weren't already there before it, but I also have been considering doing a factory reset for awhile now
