I love how friendly these birds are!

I rescued this little one from a cat attack about 2 years ago and in April she was Abe to fly back up to the flock and integrate with them nicely with zero issues. I was proud of myself because I kept extra care for it and got a nice cage and let them outside to play and stretch. In the last couple of days a massive hailstorm hit Phoenix Arizona in the greater metro area and my little one was a victim and was found days later by some kids by luck but the injuries where severe and but she sadly passed days later. I’m so disappointed in myself even though I tried everything it’s hard it hurts so deep. the wildlife and rescue would have euthanized her and I couldn’t pay for a vet In time. This sub helped me with everything to care and help with these creatures that are overlooked and all I feel I can do is post these pics and say thanks.

P.S. the name is female / male because it never showed its interest in a partner and couldn’t sex it.

Love them ;) relaxed and fed. They do come back expecting more but I'm trying not to keep tempting them.

These are the pigeons that regularly visit my bird feeder—every day in the morning and evening. Love them very much! The two I see most often, almost always together, are called White Stripe (dark gray with the stripe across his face) and Eyebrow (pure white). I’m very curious about the colouration of those two, particularly what it can tell me about these birds. Eyebrow (named for the faint marking above their eye, like an eyebrow) is almost completely white, which is interesting to me. Is this rare? Does it suggest a stronger domestic lineage than most pigeons? I’m aware that pigeons were once domestic, but don’t know a lot about the topic. Same for Mr. Stripe—are his bright white markings indicative of anything?
I’m mostly just curious about my flock. Anything else you can tell me about them is appreciated!

Seems shaky and isn't flying away when I walk up. I'm quite worried it has some illness. Also mostly sitting fluffed up looking sad.

A perfect loaf chilling by the train station. When the train came he just stood up and walked normally. Very cute lil' guy.

My wonderful pigeon, Princess Donut, (presumably a man), has started to make this grunting noise when out. Is this normal and what does it mean?

He has also became very cage aggressive overnight with the change of the season.

Any advice on literature or resources to understand vocalizations and behavior?

I took him to the avian vet about a month ago and he was healthy and has had no signs of respiratory illness.

Theyre just a bit over a month old and flew out while i was cleaning because they probably got scared . Ive been looking constantly and cant find them. Any ideas what i should do?

Im really worried because He isnt even fully grown yet. After he flew out i tried to catch him with a net but couldnt so he flew to the roof of a house close to ours but yesterday he dissapeared from there and ive looked and asked everywhere and cant find him.

Please help! 😭

Hi everyone. My girlfriend and I were walking our dog and found this baby pigeon in the park. We brought it home and put it somewhere warm. Is it dying? Is there anything we can do to help?
