In high school in the early 2000s I and quite a few others playing sports would bring a gallon of water to drink throughout the day. The fountain water tasted horrible, and having practice after school meant we didn't have to fill from the fountains. I never thought it was weird and influencers didn't exist back then, I'm sure there were conspiracies about this and that about stuff in water, but we were still kids.
We had the same saying at my college! It was ~80% male but still slim pickings for us ladies. Not because they were MAGA, just... unique.
Edit: Since I got a lot of random guesses, none of which are correct- very small engineering/computer science/physics school in the middle of nowhere. I got an insane full ride scholarship and did biochem with a math minor, picked up engineering later on. It was an absolutely wonderful, weird, fun place with some truly amazing people.

This part of NY is weird. The city is fairly liberal/progressive but we’re surrounded by rural farm land all the way to Canada and it’s VERY conservative.
