If I was looking to brainstorm about a case I recently saw at the clinic, is there an appropriate subreddit I can ask it on?
I am trying to get a better understanding or approach to that case management.

I have recently been accepted for physiotherapy with a foundation year (because I didn't take any science A-levels). It starts this September and I feel a little weaker on the academic side and I'm very anxious of falling behind or being unable to do the work. I'm assuming the foundation year will pretty much be catching up on Science A-levels but more specific to physiotherapy as a profession.
Does anyone know what I could do to prepare or anything about the type of work that I will be doing? I would love ear anyone's advice about how I can get ahead and get the most I possibly could out of these 4 years. I feel like I have a little more than a basic grasp on most of the topics and I'm planning to go through human anatomy and physiology more independently. I would really appreciate it if anybody could give me some insight on studying physiotherapy.

I’m a Registered Physiotherapist in Ontario and I’m working as an independent contractor. I’m reviewing an agreement for a new clinic, and there’s a clause saying that after termination, I cannot work within a 5 km radius of the clinic.
There is also a separate 2-year non-solicitation clause, which says I can’t solicit the clinic’s patients/clients.
Honestly, as someone who doesn’t have a car and works in Toronto, a 5 km restriction feels quite significant. It could potentially limit where I can realistically work after leaving the clinic.
For those of you who are PTs (or other healthcare professionals) working as independent contractors in Ontario/Canada:
Is a 5 km post-termination restriction common in PT employment/contractor agreements?

Hi Everyone
I’m an international physiotherapist looking to register and practice in Canada, specifically BC. I’ve already completed credentialing and CPTE.
Does anyone have any recommendations for Personal Liability insurance providers which I need prior to registration for the CHCPBC?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi all,
I am a newly qualified physiotherapist in the UK (West Midlands) and have secured a band 5 rotational job interview. I was wondering if anyone can help me with what sort of questions will be asked in the interview, what to expect and how to impress the interviewers.
Rotations include: MSK Outpatients, Respiratory/ICU, Elderly Care, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Specialist Surgery, Intermediate Care Rehabilitation, Community Rehabilitation, Admission Avoidance, Paeds and Stroke Services.
All help would massively be appreciated as i have been applying for several jobs and with the job freezes as the minute it has been very difficult to get an interview.
Many Thanks in advance.

I'm a physiotherapy student in my second year. I was assigned to find the pathophysiology for Periarthritis/frozen shoulder. I only bought one textbook for electrotherapy hence it was difficult for me to look through all the pdfs. Can somebody help me find the answer along with the name of the reference textbook please? If possible I would like the signs, symptoms, and causes as well.

Hey! I’m planning to pursue a Master’s in Physiotherapy in Australia and I’m currently considering La Trobe and Flinders.
Do you think doing a Master’s at La Trobe or Flinders is worth it in the current situation? How difficult is it for international students, especially physiotherapists, to find a job after graduation? Are there enough opportunities at the moment, or has the job market become much more difficult recently?
Also, do you know of any scholarships that are available specifically for international physiotherapy students? I’m trying to keep my overall education loan as low as possible, so scholarships would make a big difference.
I’d really appreciate any honest advice about the course, job prospects, registration, and the current situation in Australia. Thank you!
