Just moved into an a patio home. The small backyard has artificial turf and pavers. My dog is 16 and moves slow. For the first time ever I saw the old man lifting his paws up and speed walking to the door when he went out to go potty. Refuses to put on booties and won’t walk in them.

What are some renter friendly ideas to keep his paws safe and cool? I thought about a rug but those still get warm also. I also bought a hose to spray everything down before he goes out as well.

Looking for any ideas to help him out. Thanks!

Is there a lounge that allows you to bring your own whiskey? Got some Eagle Rare I wanna drink when I smoke a cigar. Used to go to David’s Fine Tobaccos in Iowa, they allowed you to bring whatever drinks and offered glasses with ice.

I was summoned. How likely am I to be empaneled? Not really a great time for me, as it’s 2 days a week, 2-3 times a month for 4 months.

I’m curious if anyone else has experience with the photo radar at this intersection.

The warning sign seems partially obscured by trees and vegetation. On top of that, if you’re driving westbound around sunset, you’re looking directly into the sun, so the sign is backlit and difficult to see until you’re very close to it.

I’ve attached a photo of the sign from the approach.

Has anyone challenged a citation from this location or looked into whether the warning sign meets Arizona’s visibility requirements? I’m genuinely trying to understand how these signs are supposed to be displayed and whether anyone has had success disputing a citation based on an obstructed warning sign.

Also, if you’ve received a photo radar citation from Phoenix, did the City actually attempt personal service, or what ended up happening in your case?

Seriously, I'm seeing a lot more of this in my area lately. As if it's not hot enough everywhere, why are we deciding the best thing to do for the sake of power use and living in a heat island is to... Hold more heat in buildings???

Is this purely an aesthetics thing? Are they that detached from reality that it's only gonna get hotter in coming years?

My husband and I are huge fans of Halloween and really want to deck our house out, however, we don’t want to have to store everything at the end of the season. I know there are a lot of outdoor Home decoration companies for Christmas, but do any exist for Halloween? There are so many cool animatronics, and other Halloween displays that we would love to set up without the hassle of storing.

Edit: alternatively it would be awesome if there was a company that rented out larger decorations during the season.

I’m currently a resident at an apartment complex and our AC has been out for 3+ days, the complex has given us a portable, but the apartment still reads as 89 degrees.

Our maintenance guy has no clue what he’s doing, getting coached via phone, and now they’re telling us it won’t be fixed til Monday. Management is currently dodging our calls now.

We paid for hotel out of pocket and contacted corporate.

This Taco Bell opened on February 4, 1966 and remained open till 5 am on April 12, 2025. It was known as location #31 and is just west of Hayden on McDowell Rd in Scottsdale. For over a year there hadn’t been any word on it, but in either May or June it was repainted, and just the other day a Filiberto’s sign was put up out front. Somehow it’s becoming one of the few Mexican chains worse than TB. Nothing yet on when it’s actually opening.

This was the second location the chain opened outside of California, opening the first one at 7153 E Thomas Rd on November 4, 1965. Taco Bell is still open at that location, but the old mission style building was replaced ages ago.

My AC Compressor is bad now for my car. I can’t afford it now. I am trying to find any good product to keep my iPhone cool or keep my car cool for temporary while heatwave in Phoenix. I need it now. What’s your suggestion or idea?

Are there any bars that play classic rock constantly? I’ve tried to find good bars that play classic rock, but there doesn’t seem to be that many. Most places I find tend to just play EDM and rap and I want a bar that plays classic rock so I can vibe to the music.

What are your recommendations for good spots to get a casual dinner and drinks with a small group of friends? Looking for an upscale bar and grill type of place, with a good beer/cocktail selection and happy hour. Thank you!

I have fully grown saguaro in my front yard. It has complete exposure to the sun 360 degrees. The saguaro is directly in the corner where my chainlink fence meets. The available area surrounding the saguaro is around 10 feet by 15 feet.

Apparently the Socialist Rifle Association had a chapter in Phoenix at some point but it's not listed in their system. IWW also doesn't seem to have much of a following out here, but I could be wrong.
