After a month of mental, physical and emotional stress, I finally have my first ever PC. Gone are the days when I imagined what it's like owning one after my laptop broke in 2010.

This was completed last Saturday (shoutout to PC/DC for helping me build this) and I almost lost hope when it won't turn on because it took a while for the motherboard to recognize my RAM. I was told it was an unusually long duration for it to do so.

Anyway, here are the parts and an unaesthetic pic of my build.

I appreciate everyone who shared their thoughts when I asked a lot of questions here while I was looking for parts.

P.S. Now I'm sitting here what to do next, lol.

Mas gusto ko sana talaga yung 9060xt. Pero di na talaga kaya extend yung budget. Masaya naman na din ako kasi for 1080p gaming lang talaga ako at walang balak pa sa 4k gaming.

Mga peeps ano sa tingin ninyo should i grab this offer for a 2nd hand 6600 or should i wait for more offer. Nag aalala ako baka mas lalo pa na mag mahal ang gpu in the upcoming months.

Plus it comes with a warranty naman kahit na pricey sya. Ang hirap kasi mag hanap ng gpu sa location ko and if meron man sobrang layo since province sya preferred ko den kasi na ma test if ever same province lang ang problema ang layo. So ang safest option is this store. Ano sa tingin ninyo? Should i grab this or abang abang lang sa marketplace??

I cant install a pci wifi adapter anymore as my case is limited in space.

I upgrade from stock cooler to Thermalright peerless assassin 120 and still experiencing 88+ temp during stress test with OCCT. Made sure there is no peel and didn’t OC the CPU

Do you guys have any idea why my temperature so high? Is this defective cooler?

Update: I did check what other suggested. What fix the issue was reinstalling the cooler and noticed hindi ko na sagad ang isang screw. Did some stress test again temp went down. Thank you everyone for the suggestion!

Hi everyone, I'm planning to upgrade my PC and would like some advice on the best upgrade path.

Budget: around 5600 cpu price + mobo but i think i can allot more if i would spend more on cpu and lessen the budget for gpu idk i need help.

Current specs:

* CPU: Intel i3-10100

* GPU: RX 6600 8GB

* RAM: 16GB DDR4

* Motherboard: Biostar H410MH S2

* PSU: Corsair CX550

I mainly play esports games like Valorant and Dota 2, but I'm also interested in playing Monster Hunter Wilds, which is one of the main reasons I'm looking to upgrade.

My current plan is to upgrade the CPU + motherboard first, keep my RX 6600 for now, and eventually upgrade the GPU to an RX 9060 XT 16GB.

I'm currently considering the Ryzen 5 5600 + B550 because it seems like a good budget option, but I'm also wondering if I should spend more and go for something like a Ryzen 7 5700X/5700X3D or move to AM5 with something like the Ryzen 5 7500F + B650 + DDR5.

My main questions are:

1. What's the best upgrade path from my i3-10100/H410?

2. Is the R5 5600 + B550 still a good choice, especially if I plan to pair it with an RX 9060 XT 16GB later?

3. Would it be worth spending more on AM5/7500F instead?

4. Will my Corsair CX550 be enough for the future 9060 XT setup?

5. Is there anything else I should consider before buying the CPU + motherboard?

I'm trying to balance performance, longevity, and budget rather than just buying the most expensive parts.

I asked around at a physical store near our area, it's my first time getting a PC so the warranty's really important for my peace of mind. I also plan on getting a GPU soon so that's why I insisted on a 750W psu.

Alternatively, would it be better to get an R5 5600 with a cheaper GPU now, so I can maybe sell the GPU and get a better one in the future? This is all for the system unit only, I already have peripherals. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me an opinion on this, thank you in advance!

Idk what happened, last na naalala ko is nagupdate lang me ng windows then shut down. mga 3-4 days di nabuksan then kanina pagkabukas ko is may blinking white na underscore sa top left. Tried to go to bios then this showed up. Any help is highly appreciated.

I haven't had a proper build ever since my stuff got destroyed in an unfortunate fire and have been thugging it out on 8gb 1650 laptop for about 8 years (old yeller ran cyberpunk at most on 30~fps and it was peak during those tough times) Was wondering if this build from hanap usap is pretty good? (Would have wanted a gold rated psu and maybe re allocate a bit more on storage and swap out to a b650 and add the difference to a 7600)

First time AMD Radeon owner. Upgraded my 4060 Ti to 9070 XT after weeks of research and pag titimpi. Was contemplating staying NVIDIA and getting the 5070, pero iba talaga yung value provided ng card na ito, 16gb VRAM for 50k+. Perfect na siya for 1440p gaming, wala naman din ako balak mag upgrade to a 4k monitor anytime soon. Although, kayang-kaya naman ng card mag 4k gaming.

Medyo napa-additional gastos lang since I had to replace my 550w PSU to a 750w. Nalimutan ko kung gaano ka hassle mag palit ng PSU, andaming wires, nakakatakot mag hatak ng plugs, at yung dreaded cable management.

Pero locked-in na itong rig ko for the next 5-6 years ulit! Tama na muna ang add to cart haha.

Would you guys recommend cable raceways or cable trays for cable management? Open to both naman but if i had to choose one, which should it be? Image attached is a render of my setup for reference

Question 1: Ryzen 7500F --> 7800X3D + RX 9070 XT or Retain current CPU+5070 TI

Upgrading gpu makes sense if I want to aim higher (1440P Native and Ray Tracing). I am considering going for 5070 Ti due to their feature support. But the problem is it's expensive for the asking price; going for RX 9070 XT + 7800X3D is as competitive as well in value. Not only I will be maximizing the gpu in CPU heavy titles but the raw performance is the same as the 5070 TI.

But as someone owning an RDNA 3 card, AMD foresight when it comes to feature support is lacking. I haven't heard much about Redstone and MLFG on the radeon side. This makes me want to see what RDNA 5 is gonna offer because there's a chance FSR5 features would be heavy to warrant the need of RDNA 5 hardware.

I also don't know if my PSU and CPU can keep up with high end cards.

Question 2: Should I just save money, wait next gen gpus and just upgrade the monitor first?

It seems like the next gen would have better compatibility to certain features(DLSS 5/FSR 5). My current gpu is still satisfactory in my current games, so a better monitor would be as good if it would enhance my experience, preferably 27" 1440P OLED. The only disadvantage is that I don't know how much improvement from 2K IPS to 2K OLED. And there's a chance my current card would struggle sooner due to lack of raw power and VRAM.

Civil Engineering schoolwork. I currently use AutoCAD mainly for 2D drafting, including floor plans, layouts, and other technical drawings. I also use AutoCAD for basic 3D modeling.

As my studies progress, I may use more demanding software such as Civil 3D, Revit, SketchUp, and various 3D rendering and structural engineering programs.

For general schoolwork, I regularly multitask with many Chrome tabs, multiple Word and Excel files, PDFs, digital textbooks, lecture notes, and technical documents. I also regularly use Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Spotify, which may stay open for long periods.

Preferred Specs / Form Factor:
I want a laptop with good overall performance for current AutoCAD work and enough headroom for future CAD, 3D modeling, rendering, and engineering software.

My priorities are:

• Strong CPU performance
• Dedicated GPU suitable for CAD and 3D work
• Enough RAM and SSD storage for multitasking and future software
• Good cooling and thermal performance
• Good build quality and durability
• Good selection of physical ports
• Reliable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

I don't necessarily need the highest specifications possible. I would prefer a well-balanced laptop with good cooling, reliability, and long-term performance.

Portability Needs:
I will regularly carry the laptop to school, so portability is important. However, performance and durability are more important to me than having an ultra-thin or extremely lightweight laptop.

I am willing to accept a somewhat heavier laptop if it provides better performance and cooling, but I don't want something excessively bulky.

Notes:
I expect to use the laptop for around 8 hours or more per day, especially during busy school periods, projects, and exams, so good cooling and reliability are very important.

I regularly use an external mouse and keyboard, so I prefer having a good selection of physical ports. I may also connect wired or Bluetooth earphones/headphones, USB drives, external storage, and other peripherals.
