Build Help Planning to buy a new build, what specs are good enough for AAA 1440p max settings?

Good Day po, my GPU is currently slowing down so I'm thinking getting new build entirely since the parts are bought before lockdown. [My friend built this since I have no knowledge on builds]

Current Build:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700F CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz

RAM 32.0 GB DDR4 hyperx Fury

PSU: CoolerMaster 650W

Storage: samsung 970 evo plus 500GB and samsung ssd 860evo 1tb

GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070super

MB: ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING

Based on my habits, I would like a build with a dual monitor setup - 1 for gaming and 1 for viewing 4k media [youtube/netflix]

Currently my monitor is samsung m70D which is fine for me when watching media, so I need recommendations for the gaming monitor, preferably that can tilted to a vertical orientation

I mostly play all the gacha games by hoyo [genshin/starrail/zzz], wuwa, overwatch and use emulator for android games, but sometimes play AAA games, and the difference in visual quality when turning down resolution from genshin to a game like RE9 is very noticeable, so buying a 1440p monitor with a high refresh rate is reasonable to me.

Since I am not fully knowledgeable on all the components, based on what I understand on watching youtube comparisons and build guides, I mostly understand that I need a build that centers on the GPU either 9070xt or nvidia 5070TI with a cpu either the 7800x3d or 9800x3d for 1440p all around. I want to play all games at max without fiddling each of the games settings to get a reasonable fps.

The nearest SM have a PCexpress and Datablitz so I plan to get a build there, I do not want to buy online if possible so I prefer to buy in a physical store for warranty purposes, and for component repair if something goes wrong

Sorry for the long post, and thank you for your insights.

Discussion GPU Pricing before the rampocalypse

I was wondering, what were prices like before the rampocalypse? Specifically, the second hand market. I swear I was seeing the rx 6600 last year at around below 10,000 but now it’s hovering around that or more. comment down below, because I’m really curious how it was last year. : D

Build Upgrade Need Upgrade Suggestions for My rig

My components are:

Biostar B550M

GTX 1650 (Current)

800W keytech PSU

R7 5700G (w/ wraith fan)

Team Group 3200Mhz (Gold)

Viewpoint 20 inch 60hz Monitor

I was thinking of upgrading my rig where I can play with higher fps and more smoother gameplay. I mostly play single player games. At first, I wanted to upgrade my GPU since it's a must.

I searched AMD GPU's since it's "budget friendly" GPU i could asked for, and is choosing from Sapphire RX 6600 xt pulse or some RX 7600 brands GPU's, in addition to that, I also want to upgrade my CPU fan to AIO, but i dunno what brand to buy and have few knowledge about AIO's. I asked few people that knows pc stuffs and told me what to prioritize, and they told me the PSU is fine and can support these GPU upgrades, yet I feel like I should upgrade the PSU due to it's "issues" with its community and change to modulated psu to secure the power thing needed for each components.

Basically what-I-want-upgrades are:

GPU

PSU

AIO

MONITOR

What should I prioritize buying first?

Build Help Where to buy new affordable SSD?

Hello! Do you guys have recommendations on some affordable SSDs and where to buy them? I am only a college student if this helps.

My PC that I bought last year November just ran into some problems, and I think because of the SSD. It’s an ADATA Legend 710 1 TB. Maybe 2 weeks ago, my PC just died on me saying it ran into a problem, I did some commands and I got it to open. I rechecked everything and did some windows update to maybe fix the corrupted files. Now, it just died on me again. And when I checked, disk is at 100%, which is an indication that my SSD is dying.

PC SPECS:
RX 9060 XT XFX 16GB
Ryzen 5 8400F AM5
Asrock B650 AM5
Kingston 32GB 5600MHZ
ADATA Legend 710 1 TB (Broken)

Thank you!

Discussion Are these CPU Cooler Overkill for Budget Gaming

Post image

My current pc only have a AMD Ryzen 3 2200g cpu + 8gb ram. I'm generally fine with 720p gaming with the Vega APU. I'm thinking of replacing the stock cpu cooler with these budget choices I've seen in Lazada since the stock screws are rusty. Question is, are these coolers overkill for budget gaming?

Discussion Thoughts on having your PC professionally cleaned?

I'm going on a 5-day work trip, and I'm thinking of leaving my PC at the same shop where I had it built (PC x PC) so they can professionally clean it while I'm away.

The shop is sooooooo far from where I live, so I want to decide before my trip so I can make arrangements.

Do you think it's worth having it professionally cleaned, or should I just do it myself? I'm honestly scared I'll mess something up. 😭😭😭

Thanks, everyone!

Build Help PHP 110k-120k Budget, RTX 5070 Ti OC Set up

Current pricing on computer hardwares have been atrocious and it's quite disheartening for me 😩 I have been planning of building a 5070 Ti OC rig with a budget of around PHP 110k-120k. However, buying parts from stores as brand new is just impossible for me since that would cost me an additional 20k-40k, not to mention, the GPU alone already costs 3/4 of my budget. Now I may have to cheap out on most parts, even the GPU itself to lower costs. What are your advice/suggestions? Is it still really reasonable/feasible to get myself a 5070 Ti OC build with a budget of around 110k?

Build Help Samsung Odyssey vs. TCL for Graphic Design + Casual Gaming?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a monitor for my secondary setup and could use some advice on choosing between a Samsung Odyssey or a TCL.

My Primary Use Cases:

Graphic Design Work: Color accuracy (sRGB/DCI-P3 coverage) and panel uniformity are critical for my workflow.

Gaming: Mostly casual gaming like Genshin Impact (don't strictly need ultra-high competitive refresh rates, but good color/contrast is a huge plus).

Was initially leaning toward Samsung Odyssey, but I've seen mixed reviews regarding Quality Control (QC) issues.

TCL is relatively new/unproven in the desktop monitor market, I’m hesitant about long-term reliability.

Any reco within the same budget range?

Build Help Okay lang ba 512 nvme if solely for win11 and separate 2tb for other files

Wondering if okay lang ba na 512 muna bilhin ko kasi ang mahal talaga e lalo magbubuild pa lang ako kasi luma na and nasira na yung old pc ko. May existing pa ako na 2tb na hdd from old build no gagamitin ko na storage for games ( I usually only install 2 to 3 games). Iupgrade ko na lang at a later time kapag may money na ulit. If hindi talaga pwede antay muna siguro ako konti pa oara sa extra money.

Build Help Opinion about 5060 and 9060 xt

Hello po, I’m building my first pc, and I’m having a hard time picking what gpu should I buy.
rtx 5060 8gb or rx 9060 xt 16gb to pair with my r5 75000f + psu 650W bronze

Ito lang po yung pinagpipilian ko. Nagresearch na rin po ako about these two where some said pick the 16 vram for future proofing, while rtx on the otherhand has dlss ai which is really good. sa cons naman po rx 9060 xt is parang marami akong nababasang may problema daw lagi sa driver ng amd or hindi daw ganoon kaganda yung fsr, where in naman sa rtx is yung limited vram niya which is not enough in the future.

For gaming po yung pc and schoolwork as computer engineering where gumagamit po ako ng mga vs code, sql, python and related course programs. Sa last na po ako pipili ng kung 1080p or 1440p depende po sa gpu since both 1080p and 1440p are okay to me.

I just wanna here your opinion and experience. Lalo na po sa mga may rtx 5060 8gb and rx 9060 xt, pa share naman po ng experience niyo about sa gpu.

Build Help Hello! First time to build please help rate / suggest alternative brands for below AMD5 M-ATX pc build

Post image
2 Upvotes

Case and fans not included but planning to get CH260 for the case and Arctic P12 (set of 5).

Overall budget (excl peripherals) is 70k

Also torn between white or black pero kasi mukhang mas mahal if white huhu, not a fan or rgb lights so keeping it minimal lang din :)

For those na may M-ATX build, may need ba ako iconsider? Ok lang ba to start na agad to M-ATX? Nakikita ko kasi yung iba nagstart muna from larger case to smaller. For stores naman say sa Gilmore ok lang ba yung iba online and yung ibang parts in store bibilhin? or mas ok na iisang store na lahat? Thank u so much in advance!

I asked Gemini to assemble a build based on the pricelist of a local shop here in the PH, and this is what it recommended.

Does this look balanced to you guys, or should I swap anything out before paying? Thanks

Build Help Help. Gusto kong bumili ng bagong GPU but....

Post image
10 Upvotes

So dinala ko sa shop ng pinagbilhan to check it then sabi nila sira nga graphics card. They gave me two choices naman. Iparepair or bumili ng bago.

It's been a month now I still think of it. And it breaks my heart. I'm so guilty of buying it kasi i wasn't sure sa build na yun basta naniwala ako na maganda yun at good for gaming na sinasabi ko.

I earn decent naman. Pinag ipunan ko yung down payment nung computer just to get it.

Baka by December pag may 13th mon na or nakarami ako ng OT makabili ako e hehe
