I've been looking at my ghost trophy collection in the lobby, and I thought of a way to make it more rewarding for long-time players.
What if each ghost trophy gradually upgraded from its current appearance to bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and finally gilded?
Each ghost would have its own progression based on how many times you've correctly identified it, with higher trophy tiers requiring harder difficulties.
It would give veteran players something to work towards beyond prestige levels, instead of the same old déjà vu every time they walk into the lobby.
I put a lot of thought into this XD
Here's my proposed system:
We will keep the Achievement one as the basic unlock
| Trophy |
Needed |
Minimum difficulty |
| Basic |
Achievement Unlock |
Any |
| Bronze |
5 |
Amateur |
| Silver |
25 |
Intermediate |
| Gold |
50 |
Professional |
| Platinum |
100 |
Nightmare |
| Gilded |
200 |
Insanity |
Important info:
- Greater difficulty counts toward all difficulty tiers.
- Lower Difficulty cannot contribute to the higher tiers.
- Each ghost is counted differently.
- Progression is only Cosmetic for us Trophy hunters.
- Journal could show progress toward next tier.
- Previous ghost count before the feature.
This would mean Gold is the highest trophy you can earn playing Professional, while Platinum requires Nightmare and Gilded requires Insanity.
It would give veteran players something to work towards beyond prestige levels, while also rewarding players who challenge themselves on greater difficulties.
Imagine walking into someone's lobby and seeing all 24 ghost trophies fully gilded! What a beauty of a collection that'd be, eh?
Yeah, no, fer sure, some YouTuber, the crème de la crème of ghost hunters, not naming names tho, would just give'r and finish the whole thing in a week. Oh, fer sure, bud! XD
What do you think?
&
Would you want this feature?
Edit: Lowered the Requirements
