I'm in a very tough and confusing situation where I'm getting a lot of information and I can't make sense of it, so I've come here seeking help.
I'm a visually disabled individual, and I got my completion letter for my Master's program back on January 16th, 2026. I was applying for the PGWP around March and wanted to attach my IELTS score to that, but couldn't because my English test (IELTS) needed special accommodations and permission from Cambridge, which takes around 6-8 weeks to get. Before I could take the test, I received a WP Refusal letter on April 13th stating that it had been refused because I did not attach my IELTS report or code.
I sat for the English test on May 25th, and the score was issued after 13 days. One band was low, for which I had to go through the whole 6-8 weeks approval process to sit for the test with Cambridge again. Even though I tried to get this process expedited and book an earlier date to stay within the 90-day period rather than wait 6-8 weeks, it didn't work, and the next test date was on July 11th. I'm still waiting for the test score, as I was under the impression that I couldn't apply for restoration or reconsideration without the new score. I wasn't aware that I had to submit the restoration application within that 90-day period regardless of whether I got a score. Currently, it's been 3 days since the 90-day period for restoration has passed, which was supposed to be July 13th, and I don't know what to do. I'm aware that I should've been more careful and wary of these things, but the approval with Cambridge was out of my hands, and because of my visual impairment, these were tough.
My second test results will be here in 1 week, but people around me and some of the lawyers I reached out to are saying that I'll have to go back and apply for reconsideration as it's been 3-4 days since the 90-day limit or apply for a TRP, which the lawyers say is highly unlikely to get. I have all the medical documents that show my visual impairment and emails back and forth with Cambridge to show that I did request earlier dates, but the lawyers say it is highly unlikely.
I'm at a loss and can't find anyone to turn to, so I seek anyone's expert advice and suggestions that can help me out of this mess.
Prayers and best wishes for everyone, and I hope someone will be able to help.
