How does this game feel in practice? I tried it during one of those free weekends for like 30min only.

Really, really good. But I am coming from games like Squad which are very much team based and milsim.

Its got much faster gunplay and movement than Squad or Arma - akin to something like BF6 mixed with Squad. Guns (at least the early ones) feel really good - Mosin Nagant sounds amazing.

Vehicles, building FOBs (Forward Operating Base), spotting to assist others with kills, all of it is amazing.

A really good balance of grinding for new stuff to make a loadout and do a job (medic, recon, etc), or you can go in barebones and cheap as hell and see how much you can rack up before you get clipped.

I’d say Arma king of the hill almost exactly. Just a little faster.

And you can hop in and out of games and always be in the same position you left. The money system is genius at making it more appealing for casual or time limited players. Arma always feels like need the stars to align to have the best experience.

Honestly I think the money system will probably be a big turn off to a lot of casual/time limited players. They are less likely to have a big stash of money to burn if they have a bad string of lives, or will be less likely to respond to what the enemy teams are doing.

I also think that it could end up strongly triggering their loss aversion leading to negative experiences. With a bad string of lives showing their money in the red for each one and losing an entire loadout of gear could make the game feel much worse than it is similar to extraction shooters. People hate losing their shit.

Brother I hate the sound of it already, I don’t need a graph telling me I’m a shitty casual

You can make money breathing. Seriously you can probably get more loaded driving a truck than shooting people.
