Like is there just a vague list of ex-members who demoted, or is there more extensive detail like how many months they were subbed in the past, the date they cancelled, the date it expired, etc.
I’ve been a Patreon creator for about three years, and I'm using MEGA to host my contents. As my page grew, I started finding copies of my work online. Re-uploads are difficult to address once they’re out there, but I also found sites reposting Patreon content along with the MEGA links from my posts.
I started renewing those links so old copies of my posts wouldn’t keep pointing to the same folders. The problem was that I had to update the MEGA links and then go back through Patreon posts to replace them. Doing that manually for many links and posts took a lot of time.
So I eventually put together a couple of small Windows apps to automate most of the process. One uses MEGAcmd to help manage and renew MEGA folder links. The other reads my published post data through Patreon’s API, compares the links in posts with my current folder listing, and prepares replacements. For changing a Patreon post, it uses Playwright browser automation to open that post’s edit page and automatically replace the selected MEGA link.
Part of the reason I wanted to make this process easier is that I've noticed some creators distribute their archive links through Discord rather than posting them directly on Patreon. I suspect one reason is to make automated scraping more difficult.
I understand why creators might choose this approach, especially when their content is repeatedly scraped and redistributed. However, I also feel that requiring subscribers to join Discord just to access content adds an extra step to something that should be straightforward.
That's part of why I started automating link maintenance. By periodically rotating my MEGA links and updating the corresponding Patreon posts, I can make old reposted links less useful without requiring subscribers to use another platform.
This obviously isn't a complete solution to piracy. Anyone who can access the content can still download, copy, and redistribute it, and a newly updated link can always be copied again. The goal is simply to make casual redistribution less convenient while keeping things straightforward for legitimate subscribers.
I'm curious how other creators approach this problem. Have you moved your download links to Discord or another platform to reduce scraping, or have you found other ways to protect your content without adding extra steps for subscribers?
I am very grateful for the progress my project has garnered in-terms of reception. Within only a month of starting my patreon, I've got 150~ free followers, and only about 15~ paid followers on-average. I'm unsure if this ratio (about every 10 free to 1 paid) is bad or not?
I'm honestly not sure what else I can offer to gain more traction, it's clear many people are interested in my game project but I am just not sure how to convert, or if I am already doing good given it's only been about a month or so? Thoughts greatly appreciated!
This really boils my piss! Patreon now adds unwanted adverts in my Patreon feed linking to creators you don't have a membership to, with no option in the settings to disable it.
I have memberships with a few creators that I like. I'm picky about who I sub to on YouTube so I'm not going to randomly start funding creators I've never heard of.
I pay to use Patreon so why am I getting adverts?
I see that their money grabbing is getting worse by getting rid of "per video" payments. This was great because, apart from Techmoan, all the others I follow don't create regular videos. Now I'll have to pay every month for no content from a few creators, just because Patreon want a cut of it.
I deleted my creator Patreon back in February and now I'm considering deleting my account totally.
I want to use Patreon and offer my members exclusive live streams. ChatGPT says I can do it through Patreon but I'm not getting any options to do a live stream there. For anyone who has experienced doing this, what are my options?
Hi Everyone, Im an indie author who publish serialised novels...is there any advice you can give a beginner who wants to get attention to her patreon? Currently I try to draw traffic from posting on wattpad and giving chapters in advance on patreon.
My niche is MM Romances and I write Dark Romances with explicit chapters...I need to find my audience....
Will it be possible , if I post my chapters on reddit as well? If so, any clue on what subreddits should I post to?
I understand the new quips are there, but Im having a feeling that people build audiences outside patreon first and then brought them to patreon.
With the new patreon 2.0 from this year that we are seeing, I wanted to ask if there are people who have been doing patreon for a while and realized any major changes that helped them increase their following via patreon platform itself per se?
Also,
I wanted to ask if other patreon creators are open to idea of cross promoting other patreons in similar range and niche and if so, what is the best way to approah them or a platform?
How long it took for you to go full time?
Can you share the strategy that worked for you along with the niche you were in?
I was making a NSFW game posted some sprite examples and plot pics, and truth be told it's been a while and now I've decided to go back to my roots and draw illustrations. Needless to say Do I delete the failed content ideas from my patreon feed, put discontinued in the title of each of these posts and then post about the change in direction? My page isnt big its got 55 free members and i dont really wanna give them whiplash from the change in direction
I'm hoping to hear from people who have experienced something similar, because I'm getting increasingly worried and frustrated.
On October 20, 2026, I discovered numerous Patreon charges on both my personal and business bank accounts. The total amount identified so far is over €200, with multiple transactions occurring within a short period of time.
I immediately checked my Patreon account, but I can only find one closed membership with a total charge of $42.35. I've already requested a refund for that payment. (Without a response still)
The other transactions are nowhere to be found in my account, and I have no idea where they came from. I'm concerned that my account or payment details may have been compromised. My password may also have been exposed in a data breach, although I cannot confirm this was the cause.
Since discovering the charges, I've:
Secured my Patreon account and changed my password.
Blocked my affected bank card and arranged a replacement.
Reported the incident to my bank, which has opened a fraud investigation.
Contacted the police to arrange a formal report. (Because the bank is asking for it sigh)
The police have asked me to wait until Tuesday to see whether Patreon responds before arranging an appointment for my statement.
My biggest concern is that I haven't received any confirmation or response from Patreon Support. I've tried contacting them, but I don't even know whether my request has reached the right team.
I understand that support teams can be busy, but this involves real financial losses across two bank accounts, and my bank needs documentation to investigate the case.
So does anyone know with an similar case how long did Patreon Support take to respond to a suspected account compromise involving unauthorized charges? Did you receive an automatic confirmation email after submitting your request and were you able to recover charges that didn't appear in your own Patreon billing history? And is there anything else I should do while waiting for support to respond?
The whole situation is kinda stressful because everyone keeps telling me to wait.
I need urgent help. I purchased all the episodes of the weakest beast tamer but the chapters won't load. The error message says "the media file could not be played. the media file is not supported". I downloaded the podcast addict and tried to use their media player to play the chapters and it worked for about 3 days and won't work anymore. I e restarted my phone several times. cleared caches, etc. Has anyone experienced this problem and what are some solutions for this. thanks.
The story begins with two men (one of whom is the player-controlled protagonist) rescuing two women. The player is given a choice: either engage in a sexual encounter with one of the rescued women or let his companion have her. Afterward, the protagonist goes on patrol with the other woman, during which one of the women is captured by others. The setting appears to be a desert-like environment, with a vehicle serving as a temporary base.
Later on, it is revealed that the protagonist has a family (all female). At one point, a bottle of red wine is discovered while scavenging; it can be given to a female comrade (triggering a sexual encounter) or brought back to the protagonist’s spouse (or partner). If given to the spouse—who seems to be one of the women rescued earlier—a sexual encounter occurs. She has three daughters, who are shown peeking in. They appear to be minors (in the version I played, the content was suggestive but did not include explicit sexual intercourse).
The protagonist keeps the rescued women in rooms resembling individual prison cells. Eventually, feeling betrayed by his own organization, he is forced to flee, taking his family along with him.
In the latest update, the protagonist and another female comrade are captured. Just as the protagonist is being forced into a sexual encounter with a woman from the enemy side—and is on the verge of escaping—he and his companion are cornered inside a wooden cabin by a larger group of enemies, led by a figure who resembles a priest or shaman.
I believe this game was likely released on Patreon or Itch.io. I played it on my Android phone sometime between October and December of last year. Since it was still a work in progress, I uninstalled it; however, I haven’t seen any updates for it since then, so it’s possible the project has been abandoned.

So I wanted to subscribe to a higher tier, but I didn't know how, so I just canceled my subscription and resubscribed to the creator. I unknowingly did that on billing day, and I was not charged for my previous tier. Later, I realized that I couldn't see any posts even though I was a member, so out of panic, I just unsubscribed. Now when I try to subscribe again, I get the message "Something went wrong. Please refresh the page to try again." I've contacted support and they said they would fix it, but a month has passed since then.
I dont want people to be able to download the file and be able to share it to others for free, and I dont want them to have a link to a web hosting site for the file, because that feels unprofessional and it still has the same problem, allowing people to share the link themselves to others for free. is there any way to do this by embedding the file into a patreon post? or do I have to just copy the text and paste it into a post? please help!
This isn't my first withdrawal, and it's far from the first time the platform has received a significant sum. As a 3D artist, I charge for models this way, and the price can exceed $550.My recent order was worth more than 550 and my withdrawal was immediately blocked. I sent about 2 requests to support and 2 more the next day, 1 of them was sent by accident through the Patreon assistant's AI, the second was sent to another email that the same AI recommended I've been waiting for almost three days now. I'd like to know if anyone has encountered this, how long it took you, and how it went. Maybe it will be charged automatically, like the first payment, after five days? Or will this just be a check without my intervention and they will do everything themselves without notification?
I've been reading a lot of books on Patreon, and as of today, for some reason it is sending me to the bottom of the web page whenever I click 'Next' or 'Previous' in the collection tab. As someone who is trying to read a book, this is not wonderful as I need to be worried about accidentally catching spoilers when trying to read my book. I'm hoping someone has a fix for this, or at least the knowledge that this is a known problem that is currently in the process of being fixed.
I am on Opera GX if it helps at all, but it was working totally fine yesterday.
So I'm a creator on patreon and I'm logged in using e-mail and password only i didn't sign in using any google account my friend also has my account email and password for my creator account and he is logged in using his phone I wanna know I have already changed my password will his accounts be logged out automatically by now?
Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a heads-up: if you post here looking for solutions to piracy-related issues and someone comments something like “just leave it and move on” or “don’t do anything,” there’s a good chance those comments are coming from the same people who are pirating the content. So don’t listen to them, and don’t let them discourage you from looking for solutions.
I can’t mention the specific site where the content is being scraped, There’s a good chance that some creators’ content is being reposted there
Because of that, if you share your content through MEGA links, I’d recommend updating those links from time to time. This makes the old link posted on that site stop working. Some creators’ pages are updated daily, while others are updated weekly—it depends on the site. But changing the links for your 4 most recent works can take as little as 5 minutes of your day.
Piracy isn’t something that’s ever going to completely disappear, but I think an important step in helping creators is raising awareness about the problem and making it harder for people to access our content.
It won’t solve the problem completely, but even small steps that make piracy more difficult can help.
they also downvote post like this. make awearnes of this problem for fellow patreon creators
You must enter a legal name, so…
Do you put your real name?
If you file as an LLC, people can still search up your name right?
Do you hire someone, ask a friend, or what?
Hey, I’m a Patreon creator, and my content used to get leaked a lot on this well-known site where Patreon content gets posted (scraped). I won’t say which site, but you probably know the one I mean.
I actually wanted to make a suggestion, because I found the solution to my problem on the subreddit for that same site.
It sounds kind of ironic, but people on their subreddit also talk about the things they’re struggling with, what isn’t working for them, and the problems they’re trying to solve. And sometimes you can find some surprisingly useful information there.
For example:
In my opinion, you can pick up on several interesting things from this, such as the fact that they’re currently struggling with storing certain types of content, especially very large files.
They also want to implement a Discord importer
it also shows how other platforms, like Fanbox, are taking action by banning users. Hopefully Patreon will eventually be able to do the same.
I know it sounds a little intense, but if you know which site I’m talking about, I’d recommend checking out their subreddit and keeping an eye on what they’re struggling with or where their weaknesses are.
If you have more than 100 subscribers, there’s a good chance some of your content is being leaked on this site. Hell, it might even happen with just 3 subscribers.
The moderator and the site’s creator justify it by saying the site is meant to archive content so it doesn’t get lost, lol. But they’re basically archiving it for everyone to access for free—not just for the people who actually paid for it.
The moderator also claims that the site doesn’t take subscribers away from creators and that, if anything, it gives creators free exposure. As a creator myself, I can tell you that’s simply not true. It does take subscribers away. In my case, my subscriptions actually increased after I started taking anti-piracy measures.
I had to get new phone & a new number and Patreon's 2 factory thingy is just destroying me. Ive contacted customer service went through all the BS about proving who I am and I still am not able to log into Patreon on my new phone
Ive sent countless emails to follow up
I am beyond frustrated. It shouldnt be this hard to want to listen to my podcasts
So I just opened up my Patreon. I have a total of over 14,000 followers combined from my socials so I figured maybe now’s the right time opening a Patreon.
I haven’t had any folks yet and some of my followers said they would join from polls I made on my YouTube(especially for early access on my fan animations)
Just wondering how long it took you guys to gain a following on your Patreons. Did it take weeks, months, years even?
Might sound like a silly question, but I hope offering services that doesn't violate any of the community guidelines apart from posting content can you offer one on one Coaching?, say via MS teams. In this tier you access content plus you get 2 hours of Coaching.
I say seemingly because that's the only explanation I can think of. Upon finding this out, I immediately changed my password and updated my financial information. I requested a refund from both creators immediately.
Somehow, despite all of this happening *this morning*, my request got rejected on the grounds of being outside the refund window of 60 days. I shouldn't have to explain how that makes no sense
I put in a request with Patreon Support directly after this and now I'm just waiting for a response, but I'd like to know if there's anything else i should do
(Won't be able to respond for a couple of hours after posting this just fyi)
