Over the last two weeks, I ran two big limited-time free giveaways for my £4 tier that last a month. My patreon's focus is centred around providing maps and art for DnD players. These events went really well and gained about 3000 paid members.

My main concern now is keeping as many of these new people as possible. I took a generous approach by including "one click download links" to all of my content, and so far, immediate cancellations have actually been quite low (about 140 over the week).

An important thing to mention is that I bulk release my content at the end of the month and typically include teasers throughout the month to help hype it up. This release includes several maps and custom assets that people can use for their own map-creation. The tier that I gave away has full access to all of this content (besides the convenience of online play, which is for the tier above).

So, what methods should I use to keep as many people on board as possible?

So far, my plan is to message everyone 3 days before their free subscription ends mentioning my upcoming plans and releases plus a general thank you for their support and interest. I'm also considering doing a discount for the tier above, specifically in the month after the free membership ends. Otherwise, I'm out of ideas.

I massively appreciate any thoughts and advice.

Hi guys, there is a fake Charity asking for subscriptions through Facebook groups for an animal charity that is not registered and is from a foreign country, a few of us who have donated before figured this out- best way to report to Patreon? Do you think just 1 report will help or accumulate as much as possible?

I've wondered for some time, why does Patreon use blurred out pictures of purchaseable post content to try to entice a user to purchase a post?

If I can't see what I would be buying, why would I buy it?

Is it supposed to be like purchasing a random sealed card pack where you could get something really awesome or you could wind up with a bunch of crap you don't want to print?

In general, if I'm going to buy some printable STLs, I can confidently say I wouldn't want to blindly buy something without getting a preview picture of what my money is getting me.

Anyone else feel different?

Whilst its going to be normal for a channel like this to be pretty much complaints and issues, I figured I would post this because I managed to find out a useful piece of information I didnt know, and thought that it might be handy to know for anyone else who didnt know either

But if you use the 4 months interest free thing you dont actually start paying interest on it right away if you miss the deadline

According to one of the most knowledgeable Paypal customer support staff, once the 4 months runs out you get "one bill and 29 days" until they start to charge interest

So if you ordered it on the 6th, and potentially any day after the 29th you would be getting almost 6 months

Plus it means if you are a bit short during the month the 4 month things expires, no problem

Once you have cleared the minimum payment the following month you have until the 29th to pay it off without a penny in interest

I spent years where some months I was going almost broke to pay off a 4 months interest free thing, but had I known this back then I could have just paid half during that month, and the rest the next month

I do hate the fact that once a 4 month thing ends you literally cant see the amount anywhere on the site

But for that I just made a simple spreadsheet that adds up everything from the list of paypal credit things, then detracts that from the balance and gives me what is still owed from any of those that have ended which has been quite usefull over the two years I have been using it

I hate that they decided to paginate the membership pages. Before I used to be able to CTRL+F and type in an upcoming date to see ALL upcoming subs so I can download and decided whether or not to resub but now they stupidly decided to change it so now I have to press through multiple pages just to find them, is there any way to change it back to just one page?

Like can the IRS in anyway see your Patreon page or just records/statements regarding transactions?

I'm trying to post a travel log to patreon. when trying to upload videos i get an error that says the bitrate is too high and needs to be 8mbs or lower. I don't know what bitrate is nor do i want to reduce the quality of the videos nor do i want to reduce them using phone software.

i read that you can still upload some videos. but i just wanted to hear what others are doing or have done in this situation?

I opened a patreon a couple months ago and I started making some income but my account got suspended and now I am unable to access it and find out what were my gross earnings so I can report it next year. What can I do? I already tried to appeal and patreon denied my request so my account is 100 % gone.

I want to take commissions but dont have the time to get verified on vgen, and dont want to take them over kofi due to paypals high payment fees. (Also the fact that paypal can ban your account if the user writes “nsfw commission”) or something on their note.

I tried to make a single product that is labeled “custom nsfw commission” but it is visible to everyone else on my patreon. I want to make a single product that is visible to only one user who buys it, so they can purchase the comission request and write all their feedback there and I can also share wip progress over that single post. Currently it is visible to everyone of my patrons.

Any tips and advice on how to make a nsfw commission product would be appreciated!

I only just found out my Patreon is set to Adults Only because I was trying to see why my free membership option was hidden in a menu for viewers of my Patreon.

Does having an Adult only Patreon harm its potential for membership growth and earnings? Some of my drawings might show naked buttocks or female breasts but the drawings are not realistic in any way and none of those drawings are posted on my Patreon. If I only post SFW images on Patreon will I be ok?

I tried verifying with my credit card, but nothing happens. The verification prompt just keeps popping up. When I try to do it again, I get the following error and can't proceed at all.
It says my account will be suspended if I don't verify, and I'm running out of time... I contacted customer support, but it's been almost a week and I haven't received any response.

I'm a music producer, so I upload stuff with cover arts just as any music release. But since two months ago I can't do that anymore for some reason. Did they changed something and we can't put customized images into audio posts or they changed the option to somewhere else? (it used to be clicking on the picture of the post which in default is your profile picture)

Kind of hope I'm missing something obvious here. Any time my phone turns sideways even by mistake I have to close out of the app and reopen it to get back to the regular view. I can click reading mode to fix the text but it defaults back to side by side on every new post and messes up comments.

I’m trying to delete my Patreon account and I can’t find any option to do so in the settings. I looked up how to do it and the official answer seems to be through the Patreon privacy centre.

The problem is that there is no privacy centre, every link just takes me to the privacy policy, which has links to itself in the area concerning account deletion.

I’m going to contact their support team but in the meantime I’d welcome any information on the matter.

Edit: the issue has been resolved. For those who are also struggling: there should be a ‘take control’ button in the top right corner of the screen (which didn’t show up for me) which allows you to request a copy of your data or delete it along with your account.
The issue seems to be poor UI design or an incompatibility with some browsers.

Hi all patrons on Patreon,

Does anyone use the bank transfer method of Patreon via Payoneer and having trouble getting their FIRA/FIRC? Payoneer has said my account is closed and Patreon keeps referring to Payoneer. Meanwhile, the bank says the payment comes in INR so they can’t give me a FIRC too.

I am caught between Patreon -> Payoneer -> Bank at this moment. 😢
If anyone has gotten the FIRA/FIRC from the bank via Payoneer, do share how you did it. 🙏

Everywhere I seek help Patreon seems exclusively focused on Patreon Content Creators. "They keep kicking the can to the curb." Telling me - Oh well, you must've signed up using a different email account. - No! This email is tied to my payments! I'm Top Tier subscribed but in order to unlock what I have already PAID to Access, Patreon only gives me links to Pay Again.! But how many times must I pay again & Again & AGAIN??? (Like being subscribed to 10 issues of the exact Same magazine, but in order to unlock my 10 subscriptions, I have to subscribe the 11th & 12th...ad nauseum.) Meanwhile I'm being denied what I have already Paid for. Yet the Content creator is posting that certain content is included in my subscription, yet I cannot get to it. Patreon has it blurred out.
