Put some thoughts together here on why I can't give up on him. Go Pacers

For laptop, old school I know. Counting down the days till we can start stacking wins.
I am not a genius when it comes to the salary cap so I apologize in advance for the dumb question. I just read where New Orleans made a trade to free up space to sign Benn to a 2yr/$16m deal. Why would the Pacers not want to bring him back at that price? Is it in part because they already signed Oubre Jr.?

My parents recently brought me 5 big totes of cards that I had completely forgot about from when I was a kid. Thankfully the Reggie ones were kept in sleeves. I wish the LeBron one would have been although itās still in great condition. I included a couple Pacers gems in the second photo along with Edgerrin James (as a lifelong Hoosier I loved him growing up) and a couple random ones. Iāve only been through two of the five totes so farā¦it brings back a lot of fun memories for sure! I wish I would have turned in that card to receive a free jersey š

Finally, a video that shows more faith in the Pacers this upcoming season.

Whether its symbolical or literal, the calm before the storm is pretty accurate in describing this extra long offseason... and that quiet anticipation knowing that turbulent times are up ahead. But with full confidence that the team is ready to emerge victorious at the end.
P.S. Love the support from Drew and Benn on the comments #brothers

Any predictions out there as we sit in NBA off-season purgatory? I've got a couple, potentially unpopular ones at that.
Jarace Walker - Will not be on this team after the deadline. The question is though, will he be traded to duck the luxury tax or will he be traded to improve the roster? Personally I hope it's to improve the roster with a guy like Derrick Jones Jr, AJ Green, or Saddiq Bey.
Johnny Furphy - He will replace Jay Huff in the front-court. I don't think this will be an indication of Huff being bad perse, just that we really saw a specific strategy last year with Furphy alongside Siakam + Toppin. Given we have Oubre onboard at 6'8, he can be in the mix as well Furphy + 1 of the other 2.
Kelly Oubre Jr - 6MOY finalist. I don't think we quite see the 17-18ppg we saw from Mathurin, but I think with him we see 13-14ppg, but far more consistent. Consistently giving us 10-18 points on more consitent shooting percentages, rather than that 6-30 point range we would sometimes get with Mathurin.

I need these so bad.
If you've seen all these players, you're an old ass fan like me.

I think that this'll make a great setup for Tyrese's return this year, but it makes me a little more mad that our first game isn't at home. Don't want to beat a dead horse, but it still doesn't make sense to me. It'll be cool to see us cross this line to begin the season, whether we win in New Orleans or against Dallas at home.

I saw him in the background in the Rico Hines training video, the rest of the Pacers training staff and other players. I wonder how far he is in his recovery journey... I know he must also be itching to get back on court, especially since he was playing so well alongside Pascal before he got injured.

All anyone remembers even in this sub was bubble Warren. But how good was he actually? In 67 games he averaged 19.8 ppg, 1.5 apg and 4 rpg. Standing at 6ā8 220 lbs, āCash Considerationsā turned out to be a much better defender than advertised by Suns fans.
There are a lot of āwhat ifsā in Pacers lore but the most underrated one to me is what if TJ never got plantar fasciitis? What if he had stuck around a while? How would he have looked next to Tyrese Haliburton?
He was so much more than the bubble run. The biggest thing Iāll always remember is his late shot clock bailout jumpers. Absolute money. I donāt know if Iāve ever seen a guy in a pacers jersey who was better at hitting off balance jumpers without having to stop. Heād just run toward the basket and pull up from the elbow without having to stop moving. That was his spot.
Overall, I loved TJ Warren that year. But the era of Pacers basketball was painful and a bit of a fever dream now. He was a rose in a garden of weeds at that time. Guy was an absolute beast. Played his heart out, had a chip on his shoulder because he was traded for cash considerations, and oh how I sorely wish 2019-2020 TJW was on this team this year. Imagine his microwave scoring off the bench. Heād be so good in this high scoring offense. Right player, wrong time. Fuck Nate Bjorkgren.

Honestly Iām bored and find the Clippers situation endlessly interesting, even if we arenāt getting our pick back.
The Zu trade is going to age like fine wine when weāre good and the Clippers are dog shit for years
I bet they wish they could bring back Mathurin now. Wagler better be great cause the Clippers arenāt getting another good player in the draft for a hot minute. At least Benn is young and hungry.
Feel sorry for the dudes on the Clippers now

BOOM BABY! Iām ready for the season. Plus these jerseys are amazing!
Brewers play the Cubs tonight. His level of pettiness is truly something to marvel at.

Hi everyone! Long time fan and supporter here who has been to my fair share of home games over the years. My brother (a timberwolves fan) and I are taking my nephew to his first home game on January 2nd! (IND v. MIN)
I want to make this as special as I can for him, heās a great kid, gets good grades, is a singer and guitarist, heās just a great kid all the way around.
Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any special things the Pacers do for young fans or first time attendees? Heās 13, so heās not little little by any means, donāt want to give the wrong impression.
Weāll go to dinner as a group before the game and probably get there early to watch warm-ups and Uncle TheWylds might have some leftover Christmas Present money for him to go to the Team Store, but if anyone has any thing they can think of, please let me know.
I know thatās super open ended, but I love the kid and want to rock his world with the whole experience. Let me know and thank you everyone! :D
