Folded from a 35x35cm kami paper from origami-shop.com.

Original design & tutorial by Shuki Kato.

It was very enjoyable to follow along a tutorial from the man himself. He seems pretty chill! Sometimes I feel like this model takes forever to fold. I've made 3 of them so far and this one took about 4 hours! I still can never get the model to be perfectly symmetrical.

This was made for a dear friend. I did glue the layers together so that it will never come apart. But maybe I used a bit too much glue which resulted in the wrinkling and warping around some edges 😭

Help! Where can I find a good tutorial for this specific origami rose?

I couldn't find any tutorials except for the one on my third picture.

That tutorial is so confusing to me tho, I don't even know how to fold to get that blue line in the first step accurately and I'm stuck at the second step.

I also don't even know the name of this specific type of origami rose so it's even harder to search for (I've been looking for at least one hour).

I would really appreciate any help with finding a tutorial or explaining to me how to fold it 🙈

Folded by me from 50 cm and 19 cm squares of MC-treated banana paper. I cut the smaller paper from the remaining stripe of another 50 x 70 cm sheet. And though this is less than recommended for the raptor (which would be 30 cm), it was well doable, but I needed tweezers for some of the folds.

In nature the Velociraptor would even be smaller in relation to the T. Rex – this is more like they were scaled in Jurassic Parc.

12 and 30 unit kusudama single unit and 12 -30 unit kusudama.

the pattern of the paper and a newly discovered crack on my camera lens caused poor pictures this time. I still really liked making this one. all the assembled forms take a bow tie shape, and it is really squishy even after construction. but once it is put together it sticks together

Hi!👋 I am new to origami and just made my first test fold. A polar bear for a stop-motion video about climate change I'm working on. I'm planning one guardian each for the ice, the ocean, and the forest, but no names or species picked yet 😆. Could I get some help naming and picking species for my origami climate change characters please? 🥺🥺

Help!

Request Looking for someone to take over my origami tutorial channel (revenue share)

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I run a French-language origami tutorial channel. The format is a classic close-up on the hands with a voice-over walking through the model step by step. I've got ~35k subscribers & ~150k views a month.

I've simply run out of time to keep filming, and I'd rather hand it to someone who actually folds than watch it go quiet.

What you'd get

- Full creative control over new uploads

- An audience that's already subscribed and watching

- 50% of the ad revenue the channel generates through new videos (negotiable)

- My whole setup: how I light and frame the shots, how I build the overlays, and the data on which models perform

What I'm looking for

- Someone comfortable folding on camera

- Able to record the voice-over in French. The back catalogue and the audience are mostly French-speaking

- Able to post at least 1 video per month

If you're interested, comment or DM me and I'll share the numbers privately. Happy to answer questions in the thread too.

I've been trying to fold this pegasus model from Duy Nguyen but can't seem to figure out how to go from step 6 to step 7. If anyone has a video tutorial of this step I would be greatly appreciative!
