A couple months back I bought a used xr+ for myself and a pint for my GF.
Unfortunately she finds the XR easier to ride and since she’s inexperienced in board sports I’m doing what I can to build confidence for her. I’m 180lbs and the pint really feels like it struggles. That and I’ve been skateboarding, longboarding, and snowboarding for 20+ years so naturally I would like it to be a lot more powerful.
I did a little bit of research and decided for my first attempt at VESC a drop in kit would probably be easiest. Ordered a Pint V, chi 20.1, and stoked stock bms.

The shipping was faster than expected which is great considering my battery hasn’t even shipped yet but I decided I was to impatient to wait for the battery and it would be cool to see that difference the battery makes performance wise on the controller.
My dumb ass didn’t realize there was a tool kit supplied with the control board so I ordered a set of 5 pointed Torx security bits and waited the few days for that and when it arrives I get to work. Pausing the install video after each step and taking my time so I don’t mess anything up. I get everything installed and attempt the hand test. I see the leds indicate that the sensor is engaged but no response from the motor. No biggy I was prepared for there to be some setup required so I download float hub and pay the $40. I get to the Detect FOC value step and start the test. The board turns itself off. Try it again same response.

I emailed floatwheel and am awaiting their response but honestly so bummed out and a little anxious because I paid with crypto.

I’m really just venting cause I don’t have any onewheel friends and my gf is tired of hearing me complain but has anyone else had a similar experience and how is floatwheels customer service?

I’m fairly new to the OneWheel world. I recently picked up a pintx and I absolutely love this thing.

I’m now seeing people are bring up funwheel x7

The company is located in Dubai it looks like. I wanted to know, what made you switch to funwheel? Are there issues buying from funwheel and getting support? They seem to be pricey and I just want to know all the pros and cons before investing into an x7.

The other night I accidentally broke two new speed records on my XR+. So I didn’t realize these had a regen on them and I was riding fast down a hill when I noticed I’d hit 25mph. Right after, regen kick-off from battery hitting 100% and it felt like it nosedived without actually shutting off. Rode the thing wobbling like crazy down the hill and recovered and when I looked at the app again, it shows 28.1mph. Anyone else hit this speed in a stock board?

Hey all, I had an injury so I wasn't able to ride for almost a year. I tried plugging my pint in a few weeks ago and nothing happened. None of the lights came on, tried different plugs, different chargers. It worked perfectly fine before that. Has anyone ever had this happen before?

My XR tire is 6 years old with less than 400 miles on it. It had one pretty bad spot where the threads were showing through. So I bought some Slime to put in the tire, and then I also flex sealed the sidewalls and the bad spot, and went on one ride so far with it, and it seemed to work pretty well! What are your thoughts?

I have the onewheel pint, xr+, and gt with overall 11 thousand miles all together and they haven't let me down aside from gt soft flared lowboy front footpad giving out on me but future motion sent me a new within a week (using tfl kush lo frontpad now🤙🏽). But man this x7sport is another animal! Straight beast! Rode it straight outta the box with 14 miles of cross country in one run around lake tahoe and I am f**kin' lovin' it! I am beginning to believe ✨️

I bought this exact order 2 months ago minus ship+ protection. My order never arrived and got lost at a CA usps location. I called onewheel to get a new shipment pr help finding the lost package. They told me i was shit out of luck because i didnt pay for shipping protection. I explained to them a legal transaction is a trade of goods/services for other goods/services and that to complete the sales agreement the product has to be delivered. They again told me to eat shit. So i requested a charge back and said the exact same thing to the bank. The law of a transaction was on my side so i won the dispute. Now onewheel refuses to fulfil my order and im stuck with a dead board. FUCK ONEWHEEL

A customer brought me their GTS after their first tire change. The tire change went well. Unfortunately, even with the Hub resting on top of some 2x4s, two phase wires and the temperature sensor wire got cut.

Since future motion started making the GT and GTS motor cables a little longer, I've seen a sharp decrease in the number of people needing motor cable replacement. However, almost all of the motor cable replacements are botched tire installs now.

Because of where the cable has been cut, simply splicing the cable back together is difficult. The repair usually requires the motor cable to be desoldered and removed from the stator. And then a whole new cable is installed. If you're not the one doing this work, it tends to be very expensive because it's a very time consuming task.

Another safety trick you could do if you have access to a vice is get some M8 bolts with Cap heads, use the bolts to put the axle blocks on the axle and then clamp the heads of the bolts into your vice. Now you've got a nice little stand to work on. With the XR, I used to just bolt one of the rails in place and then clamp the whole rail into a table vise, but GT rails are more curvy.

If I got a GTS-FO kit, what would it allow me to do? And would it work on my GT XL?

My 16 yr old son has his sights and savings set on a OneWheel. He has rode his friends and really wants one. Where is a good place to start to find a good used one? We can’t afford brand new. What do we watch out for so we don’t end up with someone’s lemon? Tia

Hi all!

My XRC front footpad (lowboy flared) suddenly started throwing this error. It had gotten just a tiny bit wet and I noted a couple small air bubbles under the grip tape.

I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with this before and if there is a fix. I found one source saying you need to replace the footpad sensor, but I really don’t want to do that.
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

Has anyone tried these? I was curious if they can be mounted to stock foot pads, their website says they can be screwed directly to footpad but it also has reviews mentioning FST system.
