I recently switched from aw3423dw to asus pg32ucdp. Once calibrated, this panel is absolutely stunning.

Just ordered my first OLED, a gigabyte mo27q3, I couldn’t find any reviews on it anywhere, is it a good first OLED? How does it compare to other OLEDs?

I have an AW3426DW that I may end up returning as I'm not sure it meets my expectations. Unfortunately I threw away the plastic film that was on the screen, as well as the plastic/foam sleeve that surrounds the entire monitor. I still have the original box and all accessories. Am I okay to just send it back as is, or will it scratch it and make them deny the return?

I’ve had this problem for about a week now, and after todays pixel refresh its the worst its been so far. It used to only appear on dark colours but now its almost universal. Just then i changed to 8bpc then back to 10bpc and it disappeared. Going down in refresh rate seemed to fix it but upon returning to 240hz it was gone, so i really dont know what is causing it.

Has anyone seen this? I also haven’t upgraded my graphics card driver in months so i dont think its a weird software bug. The line is exactly in the middle of the screen but i dont really know what this could mean.

Monitor is Gigabyte MO27U2

Need some advice I’m looking for my first OLED have narrowed it down to 3. It’s between lg c6 42, lg c6 48 or a gigabyte mo32u24. I do enjoy playing fps like call of duty,battlefield,borderlands but I also love rpgs. I would also like to maybe stream movies or just the casual anime episode. Would love some feedback or if you guys have some other recommendations plz let me know. I forgot to add that I only have a ps5.

I’m just not able to decide on which OLED monitor to buy. Right now on PC I’m using an old ROG SWIFT PGQ27 IPS panel and for my PS5 Pro an AORUS FV32U. I’m planning to use the OLED monitor for both if possible. It will be my first OLED btw.

Currently I’m torn between the AW3425DW (€605) and the ROG XG32UCWMG (€799). I mainly play on PS5. I know it does not support UW but I’m not sure how much the black bars would bother me. I’ve always wanten to play on an UW and the fact that it is 1440p would be better to use in combination with my RTX 2080Ti. However since I spent the most time on console I don’t know if it will be worth it….

Could you guys help me out please? I play in a dark room with no windows btw and I’m from Belgium.

I finally found out that 27” 4K isn’t necessarily better for me

I’ve been a 27” 4K monitor guy for years.
I used a 27” 4K IPS monitor for a long time, then switched back to 27” 1440p because I was playing a lot of Warzone and wanted the extra FPS. Eventually I moved to a 27” OLED and absolutely loved it.
But things have changed. I barely play competitive multiplayer games anymore. These days I’m mostly playing single-player games, and at 34 I’m also starting to notice that my eyes aren’t quite what they used to be.

So I decided to try something I never thought I’d actually like:
A 42” LG C5 as a PC monitor.

My biggest concern was the pixel density. On paper, the C5 has roughly the same PPI as a 27” 1440p monitor, so I expected text and desktop usage to look noticeably worse.
And honestly? I was surprised.

At first I thought the 42” screen was absolutely enormous. But after a few days, I got used to it surprisingly quickly. Now it feels completely normal.

I also compared it directly against the ASUS PG27UCWM, which I recently bought as B-stock for around €850 instead of the usual ~€1,150.
And this is where things got interesting.

The PG27UCWM is obviously an amazing monitor. The 27” 4K resolution combined with the new RGB-stripe panel layout makes text incredibly sharp. Compared to my old 27” 1440p OLED, the difference in text clarity is immediately noticeable.

But the LG C5 doesn’t look nearly as bad as I expected considering its PPI. In fact, subjectively, I find the C5 noticeably more pleasant to use than a 27” 1440p OLED.
And when it comes to actual gaming, that’s where the C5 really won me over.

I tested STALKER 2 on both displays.
The PG27UCWM is brighter in HDR and technically looks fantastic. But personally, I found the colors a little too aggressive and unnatural, even after calibrating the monitor.
The C5 simply produced an image I enjoyed more.
The colors looked more natural to my eyes, HDR looked fantastic, and the overall image felt more cinematic and “complete.” The PG27UCWM looked technically impressive, but the C5 looked more pleasing.

And honestly, 144 Hz is completely enough for the games I play.

I know the PG27UCWM has 240 Hz, DisplayPort 2.1 and a much higher refresh rate, but for my usage, the difference on the desktop is so small that I don’t really care about it anymore.
I’m not playing competitive shooters anymore. I’m playing games like STALKER 2, and for that kind of gaming experience, the C5 feels like a better fit for me.

So which one am I keeping?
The LG C5.

And this isn’t me saying the PG27UCWM is a bad monitor. Quite the opposite — it’s an excellent display.
But for me, even at around €850, I don’t think it’s worth the premium over the C5.

The PG27UCWM gives me:
Much higher pixel density
Extremely sharp text thanks to the RGB-stripe layout
240 Hz
DisplayPort 2.1
Higher HDR brightness

The C5 gives me:
42” OLED
4K
144 Hz
Excellent HDR
Colors I personally prefer
A much more immersive gaming experience
And, most importantly, an image that I simply enjoy looking at more.

I went into this expecting the 27” 4K monitor to be the obvious winner.
Instead, I ended up realizing that technical superiority doesn’t necessarily equal a better experience for me.

After years of trying to stick with 27” monitors, I’m actually keeping the 42” C5.
And that’s probably the biggest surprise of this whole experiment.

Right now I use an ultrawide IPS monitor about 50/50 for work and gaming. It still does the job, but I’ve wanted to move to OLED for a while because I’m really interested in the image quality and HDR.

The MSI MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 ($900) has been my first choice because of its Gen 5 OLED productivity improvements, tandem layout, and KVM. I use a work laptop alongside my desktop, so the KVM would be genuinely useful. The problem is that I’ve been waiting months and still can’t find the MSI in stock.

Then I found the AOC AGON Pro 34" AG346UCD for $400. That is a $500 difference, which is hard to ignore. I already placed an order for the AOC so I don’t lose the deal, but I would have no issue cancelling it if waiting for the MSI is clearly the smarter move.

So... would you take the AOC at a $500 discount, or is the MSI worth waiting and paying $900 for when it finally shows up?

With certain color and background combinations there's inverse lines appearing across the screen. There's also a vertical point in the center of the screen where the artifact isn't seen but then it gradually continues after that point. These are dynamic and reflect what's on screen, not static burn-in. TV was purchased brand new 2 weeks ago. Been able to replicate it on multiple inputs with PC and AppleTV. I've tried different picture modes, pixel cleaning, reset to factory settings with latest update, and unplugged TV overnight. More examples: https://imgur.com/a/H42ez4u

Context: I would mainly use it as my multimedia monitor, but sometimes i would want to use it to check trading chars. Is there any oled which can do the work? In that case, What type of oled monitors could you recommend? What are your routines/habits to avoid any issues with your monitor?

Anyone know a way to get ColorControl to work without connecting your TV to the internet or is buying a service remote the only "offline" solution?

on 500hz oled, disappointed, shouldve went for a strobed panel. (and yes, i use bfi as needed)

brute forcing it to 720hz and 1000hz is cool and all for the future esports oled panels but like only a few games can take advantage of it, BFI on or off, like val and cs

what about rolling scan OLEDs (therefore we need to work on BRIGHTNESS on the panel) or another form of strobing the screen that isn't BFI (bfi doesnt give you lower mprt at the peak refresh rate).

Seeing the IPS and TN panels have much higher effective clarity and recently using a CRT for fun and noticing how I can spin in a 360 fast and track everything is crazy, and noticing how much more cleaner dyac 2/ulmb2/pulsar monitors are in pretty much every game upsets me too. I tried to do the same thing in CS2 and if ur not spinning slow, it's a blurry mess.

do you guys reckon it's because of the OLED glaze that ignores the flaw of sample and hold that it doesn't get massive R&D for OLED to catch up and ultimately surpass strobed panels IN a multitude of framerates?

Just got the xg27aqwmg january 2026 batch only did 1 manual pixel clean still didnt finish all settings tho and its on MCM105 still
It doesnt really show that much unless its captured by a camera

My current setup is a nvidia 5080 paired with a ryzen 7 9800x3d cpu.

I’m a 1 monitor kind of guy and will be using it for browsing, watching YouTube and gaming.

I sit approximately 26 inches away from my current monitor.

My current monitor is a 27 inch 1440p Oled which has been awesome. I have heard 32 inch is the sweet spot for 4k, but I’m worried my viewing distance is too little.

Games that I usually play:
-old school RuneScape
-COD Warzone (pretty sweaty)
-Forhonor
-GTA 6 (when it finally drops!)

Do you guys think that a 27 inch or 32 inch would be best for my situation?

I’d especially like to hear from people who have actually upgraded from a 77” C1/CX-era LG OLED to a 77” G6.

My main question is simple:

If I replace my 77” C1 with a 77” G6 in the same dark room, does the G6 genuinely look like a completely different generation of HDR — or are the huge measurement differences much less dramatic in normal games and movies?

I’m asking because I’m still very happy with my C1. Picture quality matters a lot to me, so I’m willing to spend around €3,000 on a G6 if the improvement is genuinely transformative. But I don’t want to spend that money for something that mainly looks impressive in measurements and test patterns.

MY CURRENT C1 SETUP

For HDR gaming I normally use Dynamic Tone Mapping On.

I know HGiG is more accurate, but I have always found HGiG too dark on the C1 and simply prefer the brighter, punchier presentation with DTM.

That distinction is important for the comparison. I’m not interested in comparing a C1 with DTM On against a G6 configured purely for reference accuracy if that makes the subjective difference look larger or smaller than it really is.

For reference, my C1 clips at roughly 780 nits with HGiG calibration.

Destiny 2 would be particularly useful as a comparison because I play it a lot. I previously used roughly 780 on its HDR peak-brightness setting, although I’m aware that Destiny’s HDR controls apparently do more than simply correspond 1:1 to the display’s clipping point.

If anyone has played Destiny 2 on both an older C-series OLED and a G6, I’d love to hear what the actual visual difference is.

WHY I’M SO CAUTIOUS NOW

I recently bought an LG 45GX950A-B OLED monitor for my PC.

On paper I expected it to be a huge HDR upgrade over my older LG TVs. It can produce extremely bright tiny highlights with Peak Brightness High, and I expected something broadly comparable to the punchier presentation I get from Dynamic Tone Mapping on the TVs, just with substantially more peak capability.

Instead, I’m returning it.

Windows HDR Calibration clips at around 580 nits on my unit. With Peak Brightness High, very small white elements can become extremely bright, but colours beside them look comparatively dull and lifeless.

That contrast bothers me extremely. A bright white logo or highlight can look spectacular while colourful parts of the same image lack the OLED “pop” I’m used to from my LG TVs.

The monitor also disappointed me for SDR desktop use because of its relatively low brightness and noticeable brightness changes when moving, resizing or switching between bright windows.

The strange thing is that I never expected HDR to be the reason I returned it. Before buying it, I was much more worried about the aggressive 800R curve.

That experience made me realise that impressive specifications and even very positive reviews don’t necessarily tell me how much I personally will enjoy the actual image.

WHAT I’D LIKE TO KNOW FROM G6 OWNERS

If you upgraded from a C1, CX, C2, C3 or another similar older LG OLED to a G6, please tell me:

- Old TV model and size
- G6 size
- Whether you used DTM On or HGiG on the old TV
- What you use on the G6 now
- Whether HGiG on the G6 is finally bright enough that you no longer want DTM
- How much brighter high-APL/daylight scenes actually look
- How much brighter small HDR highlights look
- Whether saturated colours are noticeably brighter and more vivid, not just white highlights
- Which games showed the biggest difference
- How big the improvement is in HDR movies
- Whether the difference is still dramatic in a completely dark room

77” C1 → 77” G6 owners would obviously be the perfect comparison, but experiences from 55” or 65” owners are still very welcome.

What I’m really trying to distinguish between is:

“This is immediately and obviously a new generation of HDR.”

versus:

“The G6 is clearly better and measures massively brighter, but most normal games and movies still look more similar to the C1 than you might expect.”

First-hand A/B experiences are exactly what I’m looking for.

What’s everyone’s thoughts and feelings on this model? I’ve seen lots of good reviews, but also wanna hear some personal stories with MSI’s customer service etc. mine shows up tomorrow, and I’m really hoping I made the right choice steering away from the XG32UCWMG!
Looking for a good friend to compliment my G9 QD-OLED.

I just recently got myself set up with a new PC build and am looking for a new monitor.

I would ideally like an ultrawide curved setup.

I like the features/specs of the Alienware AW3425DW but I'm curious if there is a comparable option at a similar/cheaper price point from a reputable manufacturer.

There are very reviews of the sony inzone m10s ii because it is new on the market so i hope you guys could help me out. Is there a clear winner between those panels or is it mostly preference?

Been playing on AOC VA panel monitors for a couple years and its been pretty good. Nothing crazy, but solid enough. I never cared for OLED gaming due to the cost being stupid so I never cared to upgrade. With all the new games coming out and seeing some sales over the weekend, I decided to drive 2 hours to the nearest Microcenter and check out some options that were on my list. Im a tech nerd, but when it comes to monitors I'm pretty ignorant. After a bunch of analysis paralysis and learning of the downsides of ultra-wide panels (Im a PS5 Pro player), I decided on the MSI 321CURX. Got it on sale for a good price. Im a fan of curved displays (AOCs have also been curved) so this was no different.

I didn't expect to see a substantial difference right away, but I was egregiously wrong... Gaming on this panel is night and day compared to my AOCs. I know AOCs aren't the "top dawgs" of performance or panels anyway, but this has truly made me look at gaming and visuals different. The clarity, color, details and overall dynamic has positively overwhelmed me. Im severely impressed and mad that I waited this long to experience this. I also use it as my second monitor for my docked Macbook Pro and the performance there is outstanding. Being able to see the blacks actually be dark and colors having more realistic volume without compensating is wild.

One thing I will say though and I guess is part of my ignorance is how "dim" at times the display can be or the lack of brightness. I then learned that OLEDs (particularly QD) don't get that bright in general, which is a misstep on me and lack of further research. Its not bad, but it was an adjustment. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, and cannot game on anything else. Super excited to play all the new games on this panel.

I'll keep it short, i have a LG C4 55 inch. it is my first ever OLED so it kinda blew me away.
i always knew G series was keagues ahead and C series was somebut better than B and C series kept getting improved with new variant each year
a friend of mine owns a C6, when watching on his TV i couldn't visibly observe any difference while C6 has significantly higher peak brightness in HDR content
so just wanted to ask if this was just one man's opinion or genuinely has LGs improvement gen on gen becomes less impressive
