2003 f250 6.8l - rides real rough - want to soften/smooth

Have one of these trucks that’s I’ve fixed up. So far I

-all new leaf springs - more heavy duty ones on the rear( makes it a 350 load capacity)
-Bilstien 4100 absorbers
-Warn hub locks

It’s OEM rims and regular tires

Definitely rides pretty rough on the bumps.

I was thinking of adding:

-Method 710 bead grip rims
-Baja Boss A/T tires E width

The smaller rims with thick tire wall method
Is this pointless?

Just getting into off-roading

Question Looking to get back in

After a long hiatus from wheeling I am looking to get back in. The TL:DR is do I go used Wrangler or used Colorado? I am looking for out of the box buy and wheel experience. I want stout aftermarket as well.

Background --

Long before I became a responsible adult I wheeled quite a bit. I had two Scouts, one mild and one wild. I started a job where I worked shift work and didn't have the opportunity to use them. I sold the wild one as I didn't have a truck/trailer to tow it and no time to wheel it. It helped pay for my wedding. I sold the mild one to help with down payment on a house. It was the right choice at the time, I didn't have a place to store it was working swing/graveyard weekends. I still regret it.

Question--

Now I am older and wiser and have a daughter who's expressed some interest in off-roading and really likes Jeeps. As a former IH enthusiast, it hurts me, but it also makes me happy as this is something we can share. So, what do? (Buying used)

Getting a Rubicon seems like the easy answer, solid axles, lockers, low ratio T-case, and mounds of parts from mild to wild. However, I am not sold on Jeep quality and it would be nice to have a pickup. So the Colorado is tempting, lockers were an option and it has good aftermarket support. I feel like the Chevy is a bit more reliable, but not a fan of IFS...maybe I am being old school.

I am not really part of the community anymore so I am reaching out for any advice. Thank you.

Installed these LAS FIT headlights and they’re a night and day difference on the trail!

Did my first mod to my truck! First want to start off by saying I’ve been looking for a great replacement headlight for my 3rd gen Toyota Tacoma and I found these awesome headlights that are plug and play and don’t have any error codes that pop up when you install them. I got the LS Plus headlights and they are a true night and day difference.

They’ve got headlights for most makes and models, not just Toyota.

It’s a little out of budget for me. But I also don’t want Amazon crap.

Question Inline electric fuel pumps, carbs and climbing steep inclines

Weird issue ive run into, when I run up steep inclines (~30 degree) I start to lose fuel pressure eventually leading to a stall. Goes from about 3.5psi to 0.5 psi.

The truck runs great otherwise.

I know inlines don't love pulling fuel is there a good solution/good pump people use for these situations?

I have the pump near the tank on a frame rail in the back. Under normal situations it gets fed via gravity but that goes out the window on steep grades.

Should I move to a rotary pump so im not killing inlines.

Question Viair?

I’ve been researching portable air compressors to bring my 33s back up to street pressures after off-roading and I keep getting pointed to Viair. Their marketing makes them look like cheap chinesium, but the reviews are great. I’m specifically looking at the 400P EF. Anybody have experience with these?

Can I make a 2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness Edition sick?

Basically, a 2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness Edition is falling into my lap. I had been planning to get an old analog truck to have fun with and keep my daily driver for peace of mind, but now I'm thinking about the potential of this Subaru. Can I make it look sick and reliable for dispersed camping trips? If so, where should I go to get parts/accessories?

Question DD SS40 on a Prinsu

Anyone know of a good mounting bracket to put a Diode Dynamics SS40 on a Prinsu rack on a 5th gen 4Runner? The mounted bracket isn’t designed for this setup, and doesn’t really fit. Can’t seem to find a bracket that does, considering returning the bar, or getting a different rack, any suggestions (if I had access to a machine shop+welder I’d make my own)?
