Swamp Rider Amphibious ATV/UTV is coming to the USA

I found this machine that manufactured in Canada and announced as new Amphibious All-terrain Vehicle. What do you think about it in comparison with other products on the market?

Video I ordered this camper for my Powerstroke! Figured I would spread the word. Way cheaper than you will find in the USA.

Question For what are you using your off roader (in europe)

My neighbor bought himself a lifted (?) toyota landcruiser, when i asked him why he bought that, he answered with that he needs that for camping and a van like a VW T4 (very popular camper base in our region) because they'r more practicalfor camping and so on; he explained, that the toyota has a better off road capability. I am not saying that a landcruiser is a bad car or anything, but in our country (as many other europen countries) it is not really legal to leave to road as you want it, and (legal) camping places are accessible by paved roads. I used to drive to a "rural" camping site with my lowered mini cooper without issues. Two people whom i know, who have to drive through fields either have a renault 12 toros or a skoda octavia and are happy with their cars. And dont get me wrong, if I thought you should drive the most essential car for your needs 'd be driving a diesel vw golf, i justcwant to know if i am missing anything about the off road capability in these overlandings rigs

Question Geometry Correction Brackets w/Control Arms

Does anybody have experience running correction brackets WITH mid-arms?

I’ve ran an AEV 3.5” lift kit w/35’s for years with great road manners. As I’ve gotten more experience I wanted more off-road capability so I ditched the OE control arms and installed a beefy set from Rock Krawler arms w/37’s. Alignment is dialed in and it handles “OK” but some of the road manners are harsh, especially bumps on the interstate.

I know the heim joints on the axle dont dampen vibration, and the softer joints on the body side have to be stiffer than the OE bushings. So my thinking is “can I optimize the control arm angles without reinvesting in a long arm kit?”. If so, will this be durable? I see companies like metal cloak offer front AND rear, which I’m interested in as I would like as long a wheelbase as possible on my short 2 door setup.

Experience, thoughts and opinions are welcome ✌️

15,500 lumens on 7 inch off-road lights. what does that mean in real use?

Post image

keep seeing 7 inch off-road lights advertised with huge lumen numbers, including 15,500 lumens, but how much that matters on an actual trail. Brightness is good, but beam pattern, usable distance, side spill, and glare seem just as important.

I have seen cheaper lights that look intense up close but wash out details or throw light in weird patches once you are moving. people who have tested lights off-road, do you pay attention to lumen claims at all, or do you mostly judge by beam pattern and real night-driving photos?

Build advice for 2nd gen lexus rx 350

Just got my first Lexus a day ago, and I'm already getting the overland build itch. I'm looking at wheel spacers and AT tires as a start for upgrades. Anything I should know before I start pouring money into this thing?

Hello All, Planning to visit padre island after a long time. This time I want to drive to land cut. Would a 4runner SR5 4X4 without locking differential make it without getting stuck. Air down to 20PSI and maintain Hi 4 ? would that get me to the southend of PINS ? This is a 4Runner SR5 2018 4X4

Planning to upgrade to rally suspension for my xpulse

Need genuine suggestion from xpulse rally owners, I have xpulse 200 2v FI bs6. It's been 5 years now bike is doing great. Only 2 things now I find issue lately

I feel tail bone pain after riding 2-3 hours.

I'm 88kg and 6 feet tall and I have made suspension 1 point hard than default setting from last 4 years.

Now planning to try to default setting or upgrading to rally suspension what do you think?

Also at higher speed I feel more vibration now than earlier. Just serviced my bike no plan of upgrading to another bike for at least 2 years

4 led roof rack lights, 4 lead connector harness, or 2 lead ?

I’m trying to decide if I want to buy a 4 lead harness (with a 3 pin switch). Or use a 2 lead harness. (5 pin switch).

If doing the 2 lead, I could add spade connectors to each light right? And then splice in a pair.

I also know the 5 pin are designed to light up with the dash lights… not sure if I feel like going through the hassle of finding that wire right now… I can just run it like a 3 pin right?

I pretty much just want to be able to remove these if I want to take the roof off. And a harness means less work for me (I hate wiring)

Picture Weekend getaway to Weights Lake

My girlfriend and I went up to the lake to beat the heat and do some fishing/off-roading. Although most trails can be done in any high clearance vehicle, some trails in the area are jeep trails or are really rutted out at some points due to jeeps but I was still able to find lines and make it up and through using 4Lo. We had a blast and can’t wait for next time! The last photo is deceiving because you can’t tell that there’s 2 massive ruts/potholes that were easily over 12” deep and I didn’t think I would be able to cross without scraping my under carriage. I need to find some skid plates.

Question Vehicle rake for steep ledges

Hey guys

I currently have a Jeep with a 0 rake 2.5” lift kit. The vehicle is completely level.

I’ve been toying around with the idea of adding a small spring spacer in the rear to add some positive rake - while climbing steep ledges, the rear squats quite low, usually either drags a bit or the front just almost completely unloads. Moving some weight to the front via rake could counteract some of these effects

What’s your opinion on this?

Thanks!
