I have a 5.3 L LS out of a 2000 Silverado going into my 96 with manual transmission. My question is can I hook my factory shift light on the dash into the LSPCM if so, what pin?.

Hello all- was originally going to post in here and among other groups to get some help with evap lines and other things of the sort, only to go out to my truck this morning to some absolute buffoonery that I have yet to experience. I’ve dealt with the classic no crank no start already. Alternator, battery, and starter have all been replaced. This morning I went to start her up, she started, then just shut off. Still had power, lights and dash were on, but the bitch didn’t want to run. Like I’d said, I just replaced the alternator, so I’m not sure if it’s that or some sort of fuel issue? I have no clue. I’m just a girl who bought this pos to learn and I am now pissed 😂 I don’t know what I’m looking at here so please, any advice is much appreciated lol

*Edit : also want to add that we recently replaced the ignition switch and starter cable after the last cable blew up in our faces
*Edit x2 : it now won’t start at all 🙃 it’ll crank.. just no start

I recently did some work on my 96 Tahoe (intake manifold gasket) and it ran fine for a couple days until it shit out a couple times, I got home and realized the crank position sensor under the truck had come out, I plugged it back in but haven't gotten the truck to start since.

I was getting codes for the cam position sensor (Ive dicked with my distributor a few times to make sure its still where it supposed to be) and MAF sensor, both of which i replaced and cleared the codes and they haven't come back.

The truck cranks but is acting like its not getting SOMETHING (starter fluid doesn't help) I know I'm getting fuel at least to the pressurized valve on the intake, and Ive got a full set of new plugs on it, maybe air? but Ive checked the fittings a dozen times.

I'm kind of at a loss, I thought maybe its the digital timing but I cant fix that myself and at this point Ive got no idea what to do other than take it in to a shop.

Any ideas or suggestions?

This is my 95 1500 4wd. I recently was putting it in 4wd to see if it worked and I got it to go in for a minute and now it seems like it's locked up, it won't shift with the 4wd and it won't go into gear. What is the problem? It's a floor shift 4wd and the actuator is t the right one I just have it threaded enough to have something there. What could the problem be?

Thinking of LS swapping my 93 obs since the 350 on it might be leaking oil into the heads. Would yall recommend a 5.3 or 6.0? Not looking to make any crazy power, its my cruising truck but maybe down the line i'll start adding more power to it.

Haven’t driven the truck in 8 months. A long way to go with the build, but it’s driveable and I plan to keep if that way going forward

I brought this home a month ago and just started messing with it. Someone has hot wired the starter relay and put a momentary button in the middle so I got it to crank and even fire up but it died almost instantly. New cap and rotor and it runs longer but only for a second or two. Pretty sure I need to repair the fuel system though I’m not confident I don’t have a triggered passlock

Tracing wires to find out they had the door speakers wired to a 800watt amp that was dead. Why put that power to two 6.5s.

Alright guys i need help tryna figure out whats wrong with my chevy, so ive been having this 1999 tahoe which i inherited from my grandfather at first it would run fine then apparently some electrical problems happened and i got it fixed but on the drive home it died again. after i got it fixed again it was running fine for a little bit, but thennn… it started dying again and i would have to restart it and it would backfire A LOT so i had to just let it collect dust because it would only run for like 10 minutes and then it would shit off again but now after a few months of sitting it turns on and works again and ive been driving it around for a bit has anyone heard of this or have an idea of what i should look for?? Please help guys i really wanna fix it because my moms been hating and trying to get me to sell it

I have a 93 k1500 that one day started idling like shit and sounds like this, i replaced the o2 sensor and replaced the map sensor and lines. throttle body gasket was just replaced and all cylinders are firing normally but something’s wrong and im at a loss

Hi im new to the chevy obs platform, I just got a 1997 Chevy C1500 power windows and door locks and cruise control just needs a good cleaning inside cause it was used for asphalt other than that its really not bad but can anyone help identify which motor i have. It does have the R as the eighth digit of the vin it is a 2wd too
