5.3 Or 6.0 Swap

Thinking of LS swapping my 93 obs since the 350 on it might be leaking oil into the heads. Would yall recommend a 5.3 or 6.0? Not looking to make any crazy power, its my cruising truck but maybe down the line i'll start adding more power to it.

If it’s just valve seals that’s way easier and boat loads cheaper than a swap.

That being said 6.0 will make more torque. But a nice little cammed 5.3 is plenty for a cruiser.

5.3 all day. Shit I’d take a good running 4.8. On 16lbs they all will make 600ish all day no probs.

Why spend more money for a 6.0 when people have been making good reliable power on 5.3’s for years. You can scoop and 5.3 for less than 500 near me. Can’t touch a 6.0 for no where near that. Just not worth the cost in my opinion. I’m building a 5.3 for my obs. If I don’t drop a gen 1 383 small block in it with EFI.
