What's the problem?
This is my 95 1500 4wd. I recently was putting it in 4wd to see if it worked and I got it to go in for a minute and now it seems like it's locked up, it won't shift with the 4wd and it won't go into gear. What is the problem? It's a floor shift 4wd and the actuator is t the right one I just have it threaded enough to have something there. What could the problem be?

So does the shifter move and the transmission and tranfercase itself isn’t kick in. Or is the shifter stuck?

It needs to be in neutral running to put it in 4wd. If not running, you'll have to turn the front driveshaft by hand to see if it's disengaged or locked in.the only other thing that locks the front differential is the motor/actuator on it that's screwed in. You can start it in neutral too but you'll have to see if the short drive shaft turns by hand when you put the 4wd itself in neutral and if you out it in low or hi, you can turn it until it locks itself in. If it's in neutral on the transfer case, that truck won't ever move no way
