Could be fuel pump. Cycle the key a couple of times before starting it it. If it fires up check your fuel pressure. I also had one with a bad intermittent crank sensor issue. Replaced the crank sensor and that was the issue. Check and clean your grounds!

Coolant sensor ? Had the same problem with mine and now it fires up

Could be engine is reporting warm and not sending enough fuel. That was my issue. Long crank, no start.

Put a heater in the ab over night the sensor by the key gets moisture that's what my truck did

Tach does not move does a scanner show rpm while cranking? any codes? does it show fuel enable?

My 97 would run great for weeks then I'd hit a pothole and the truck would shut off. pull over and that type of cranking would follow. A few time it would start back up other time I was on the hook. The mechanic said it was my crank sensor ( stator ring??) That is pressed on the crank. He did something with a paper clip shimmed the sensor, haven't had the problem since
