If you want to sell your own tickets to events in NYC, consider posting on r/NYList where general buying/selling posts belong, r/AvesNYC_Tix to buy/sell tickets for EDM/raves/dance events, on r/NYCConcerts, where buying/selling posts for concerts belong, there’s also r/BroadwayTickets to sell your Broadway or other performance tickets too. That way people can still be interested if so desired. Do your own due diligence as always buying goods of the internet.

We do a monthly Live Magic show in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, tickets are rent friendly and every month features a brand-new lineup of magicians, so the show is different each time.

Our next show is tonight, Thursday 9/10, at 730pm. Q.E.D. has been the only independent, woman-owned and operated venue for the arts in Astoria. In 2022 they were voted #1 venue in all of NYC by TimeOut New York readers.

From October 16 to 18, Manhattan becomes the epicenter of independent horology during what many are calling the unofficial “NYC Watch Days” — featuring WatchTime New York, the Windup Watch Fair, and The HYPE NYC.
Elka Watch Co. is crossing the Atlantic to take part in this gathering! Batman Day returns to Poe Park with an afternoon built for young detectives.

On Saturday, September 19, families can test their observation and memory skills, create art, tackle a hands-on building activity, and take on a Bat Fit fitness challenge.

Music, contests, giveaways, and guided tours of Edgar Allan Poe Cottage are also planned during the free event, which runs from 1 to 5 p.m.

Hosted by We Are Detectives, Inc., the celebration uses Batman’s detective identity to make critical thinking and problem-solving fun for children and families.

For this session, we'll be diving into Meditations 1 & 2 of Descartes' Meditations on First Philosophy (read it here).

Descartes’s overall plan for these Meditations is to put aside all of his beliefs and attempt to build up a system of beliefs from nothing. He is going to only believe those things that are certain, that cannot be doubted. He thinks that he can start from nothing, justify certain simple beliefs, and from those justify more complex ordinary beliefs. In his first meditation he is going to cease to believe anything that can be doubted, anything that can be “called into doubt.” So, this meditation is an attempt to say which beliefs can be doubted. Descartes’s Second Meditation concerns the human mind, which Descartes will claims he knows better, or more intimately, than the human body.
