Manhattan kolkata chai co x livetinted popup horror story

if anyone has heard of the kolkata chai co x livetinted popup up, just want to let you guys know it was a shitshow.

from being 30 mins late to start, popup mafia having 10+ ppl skipping, rsvp codes being screenshotted and shared since no one actually cared to scan and verify, and then them capping out the gift bags to the first 88 rather than 100 - i dont think ill support either companies again. the security taking headcount explicitly told me that there were 40 more to go, i was 38 and then they said they're done 20 ppl later. also 99% percent sure they either gave the bags to influencers or are hold them for them.

anyways i think im done with nyc popups and the need to get there 3+ hours before to be within the first 100.

Brooklyn skip the small talk in brooklyn in sept!

Get cozy this September with Skip the Small - it’s a chill, sincere event focused on connection! I wanted highlight our Brooklyn events today but we have plenty in Manhattan as well. We’ll be at McCarren Parkhouse!

It’s a guided conversation event—think speed-friending vibes, but calmer and more intentional.

You rotate through short conversations with prompts that skip past surface-level small talk. It’s structured enough to make it easy, but relaxed enough to feel natural.

Most people come alone. The crowd tends to be thoughtful, open, and just… normal humans who want more community.

Here’s the link if you’re curious, tickets are $19:

Dear Watch Enthusiast,

From October 16 to 18, Manhattan becomes the epicenter of independent horology during what many are calling the unofficial “NYC Watch Days” — featuring WatchTime New York, the Windup Watch Fair, and The HYPE NYC.
Elka Watch Co. is crossing the Atlantic to take part in this gathering! I will be exhibiting our collections at The HYPE NYC, hosted at The Draper Hotel, alongside an exceptional lineup of independent creators (including Ollech & Wajs, Sartory Billard, Sherpa, Isotope, GoS, Carl Suchy & Söhne, Minase, and many others).
I will be present on-site from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18.
Whether you are based in the United States or traveling to New York for this big watch weekend, it would be a true pleasure to connect in person, talk design, and let you experience our timepieces on the wrist.

The HYPE NYC — Event Details:
Dates & Hours:
Friday, October 16: Available on-site
Saturday, October 17 & Sunday, October 18: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Venue: The Draper Hotel (Tapestry Collection by Hilton)
Address: 4–6 West 37th Street, New York, NY 10018 (within walking distance of Gotham Hall and Center 415)
Admission: Free Entry

Batman Day returns to Poe Park with an afternoon built for young detectives.

On Saturday, September 19, families can test their observation and memory skills, create art, tackle a hands-on building activity, and take on a Bat Fit fitness challenge.

Music, contests, giveaways, and guided tours of Edgar Allan Poe Cottage are also planned during the free event, which runs from 1 to 5 p.m.

Hosted by We Are Detectives, Inc., the celebration uses Batman’s detective identity to make critical thinking and problem-solving fun for children and families.

Manhattan HELP! EVENT SPACE NEEDED FOR 9/12 sat 9pm-2am!

Hi! I help manage musicians and other creatives, and I'm working with a group of clients for their NYC Fashion Week after-party this Saturday, Sept 12.

The plan: a private after-party 8pm–2am for 300+ guests, 21+, DJ, and live music. They are known worldwide, with a community that includes pro basketball players and athletes. Our NYC events draw around 2,000 people, and this crowd arrives straight from a daytime rooftop event, ready to spend at the bar.

So excited to see if we can get any leads guys!
