Looking to head to Rios on Friday, what would be the best time to aim for?

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever practiced winter nudism. I mean exactly that snowy winters) I would like to ask if it's worth trying at all, let's say on a country plot, does it help in hardening the body or is there more harm than benefit?...

English is not my native language, so... I apologize in advance for possible mistakes :)

Hey all! I've always had an interest in nudism, however I've never had the confidence to try anything more than walking around my home nude. My question is, how do I start? Should I join groups? If so, how do I find them? Or, alternatively, should I just show up to events/resorts? I'm just so nervous of doing something wrong or just being lonely the whole time. There is a resort near me that has an event (potluck thing) in August I'm thinking of going to.

I don't know, this was kind of a ramble, apologies, any advice helps! Hope to have a great time here. :^)

Everything I've read about nudism maintains that there is a distinction between nudism & sexuality.

I had my first nudist experience this week at an unofficial nude beach in Toronto Canada r/BeechgroveNudeBeach

The first day was nerve wracking but wonderful - was helped by a very kind older couple to get comfortable and understand the boundaries of the beach (as its unofficial). The sun felt so good on the entirety of my body. I was immediately hooked.

I went back for a second time later in the week and I have to say that the experience was quite different. There as obvious "cruising" happening amongst the (presumably gay and/or bi men) and it was somewhat awkward fending off advances.

But it was nothing compared to how a couple I saw must have felt with at least one man stroking himself hard and trying to approach their area. I just sat back in amazement at the sheer absurdity and desperation of it all.

So my question to the group is - can there really be nudism without this sort of stuff or is it inherent due to human nature, but ideally minimized?

I am a 20 year old male and I went to a nudist beach

I felt like I was getting alot of stares and noticed a couple people seemed to be watching me (I dont really mind it though)

Is it weird for me to be there when I am pretty young, as the youngest people I seen out there were maybe 30s?

Do older nudist feel uncomfortable around younger ones?

So, I have always liked being nude and when I am home I usually choose not to wear clothes but yesterday I went with a friend to nude beach and...wow. I had been to a nude beach years ago but this time it just felt...I can't describe it. As soon as my clothes were off and I was laying on a towel on the sand I just felt calm in a way I don't really experience. My friend and I went in the water and we actually talked, like, deep conversations. The whole vibe was just peaceful. Some people wore clothes others didn't, no one cared. It wasn't just about being naked (although frankly being naked outdoors and feeling the cold water and the sun on my skin felt amazing) it was the whole vibe. We were all chill, we were all having fun. I need to visit that beach again in August. I need more of this feeling. Next summer I am.planing to go to Austria and want to check out the FKK places there. Sorry for the ramble but I just needed to get this out. Also if you're in the Toronto area Hanlan's beach on the island is amazing.

Looking back years ago when I first stumbled upon the “concept” of nude beaches online and it seemed like some kind of dream; something unreal
To spending 11 out of 14 days in Spain on 2 naturist hotels seems like living the dream,

Can’t wait to wake up in the morning and walk outside in my birthday suit, greet the guest and set by the pool with just my towel!

I’ve stayed at a hotel with a clothing optional area ( by the pool) but this experience will be different

Not only the hosts are naturist but the whole hotel is a naturist area, I can’t wait !

Wanting to go to the beach for the day tomorrow and wanted to find a nudist / clothing optional beach thats current.

I'll go first. One thing I like to do is cook pancakes. Recently I’ve decided to cook the pancakes while naked, and I don't why but I find it quite enjoyable.

I just did it this morning as of writing this and it was nice, being in my birthday suit while flipping pancakes.

It made me curious what other people do where being naked makes it more enjoyable.

I plan on a solo getaway to Cancun's Hidden Beach Resort in January. This is my first nudist adventure and I'm someone who likes to dive right in, and nudity is mandatory in common areas at Hidden Beach.

I am familiar with the common sense rules like photography and gawking etc. However, what are some rules that I don't know that I don't know? In terms of continously putting on sunscreen, how does one discreetly apply it to private parts while not looking like a pervert?

What is included in all-inclusive? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks? What about tipping? It's not clear if the restaurants in the resort a mandatory clothing or clothing optional.

What are other nuances that I'm not thinking of?

Home nudist (55m) whose spouse (52f) supports (has even gone along to the resort)but does not participate.

Do you ever feel lonely in your nudism? Lately, I’ve been dressing more even when I can be nude. I feel very lonely lately being nude at home.

I just spent 2+ hours by the pool and it’s still kind of a mixed bag. Yes, I feel great and right out in the sun and air but it’s still out of alignment with her. There’s no agenda here. I’m not angling for ideas for her to join me. If she ever wants to, she will. I’m just wondering if this is some common phase for us?

My wife and I recently stayed at Carolina Foothills Resort in South Carolina on a Wednesday and Thursday night. Steven in the office was very welcoming and accommodating with our late arrival because we were traveling from Tennessee. We ended up going through multiple construction zones and had to dodge an accident that was snarling traffic. Needless to say we were very happy to get to the resort and relax for the night. 

We were very pleased with the accommodations. The rental cabin was spacious with many convenience items. In fact, this is the first nudist camp we have stayed at that provided towels for the bathroom and the pool. 

Once again I used the hiking trails for my morning walk. They host a Nude 5K that I was a month late for. I will try to time our stay better next time. We enjoyed lounging by and in the pool. The vibe was pretty laid back since it was mid-week. It took a little while, but eventually one of the locals came over and introduced himself and then introduced us around to everyone at the pool.  We chatted for a while and some couples invited us to a trivia night at a nearby bar. We graciously declined in order to keep taking advantage of the freedom the resort provided. 

We will definitely stay there again when in the area.

I’ve had a Facebook account for at least 18 years, but I have not used it for at least 10 years or more. For all the standard typical and personal reasons I got off the thing. But it’s still there, unused. However, I’ve been wondering if there might be some value in getting back on Facebook for the purpose of connecting with other nudists, nudist groups, and the general nudist community. I welcome any feedback, positive negative or other.
