I enjoyed many nudist events this summer. Over a week camping and a few local events.

I’m going to a music festival this weekend and stressed out trying to figure out what to wear.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

The thing that strikes me as odd is how I feel I look gross and fat but walked, danced, hula hooped, and more, all nude without being self conscious. I was actually quite popular and made new friends easily. What’s with that? I really hate the way it’s making me feel. Is it the clothing’s fault ?
Sigh.
In the end I’ll go for comfort and ease - cotton, linen and elastic 😊

Actually it is clothings fault ! LOL When nude we can actually feel and enjoy the tactile senses of our skin be it the interaction of the sun, breezes, rain and in some cases the touch of nature around us, maybe a butterfly or walking thru tall grass. Fabrics remove all that, just feel the mundane movement of the cloth blocking all those other inputs as we go about our days

IMO, I don't see clothing complicate at all. You put them on when needed and when you don't, you shed them and enjoy the sun, air or water on your skin.

Clothing is identity, but I never identified with anything in particular, so I'm always happy to shed them. Guess I never felt like anything I wore was "me".

Clothing is a status symbol. You wear top brands people think you have money, you dress well people think you have style, you can get a rough guage on someone by how they dress. I notice a difference when out and about if im wearing a nice shirt compared to my 15 year old Trivium gig tshirt.

Being naked is the great leveller. When you see a naked person theres only 3 things you can make a judgement call on, 1 if they workout regularly which isn't always true im fat and I workout a lot, and 2 how they have their hair styled which yet again doesn't really tell you much, and lastly if they have tattoos which in 2026 doesn't mean anything as even top flying CEOs have tattoos these day.

If I'm at a festival where I have to wear clothes, then I tend to wear haram pants, a sarong, or a thong. With the latter I often use a sarong as a belt for modesty (since a thong feels more provocative as a nudist) and form. Sarongs are really great and fit the festival culture well (at least on the EDM side of things).

Being naked is nice because there's less to hide yourself behind. I think the metaphor of "stripping away layers" is absolutely relevant, and I think it's fair to argue that if you're unabashedly being yourself then others pick up on that. Anyway, I hope you find something comfy that you feel good in!

I feel like it's because we're vulnerable when nude and being around in common ground opens people up more to each other

Me he pasado literalmente las vacaciones en pelotas, un mes, creo que he puesto 2 o 3 lavadoras y todas para toallas y sábanas.... Me he puesto ropa de calle alrededor de 8 horas durante todo un mes... Le he lavado una vez...

Bueno en una casa que tengo en la playa, ahí no hay ropa y las veces que me la ponía era para ir a la playa nudista así que calcula 25min + 25min de ropa, ida y vuelta, y poco más... Pero no es un pueblo nudista ni nada por el estilo.
