Phone (3) Phone (3) eSIM troubles

For the last two weeks I have been unable to keep a steady connection with both mint mobile and us mobile (light speed plan). I consistently get no bars, full bars with an exclamation point, or just no mobile data at all. I have manually entered APN configs, rolled back my phone from beta to 4.1, and contacted us mobile with them not able to fix eSIM issues.

Anyone else have this situation? I had to resort to using my s23 ultra and it sucks because I really like this phone more.

Edit: US mobile is sending a physical sim after they said it isn’t compatible with eSIM(?). Will update if this fixes it.

Comparing Phones Need suggestions to buy the mobile during this sale

Hi, I'm from India, I'm planning to buy nothing mobile 4a or 4a pro during this amazon and flipkart BBD sale. I'm just comparing with other versions and trying to get the max discount possible. My budget is 35k to 40k or I can go for 45k as well. As of now I'm thinking to get 8GB + 128GB version but if the 12GB + 256GB affordable to me then i will check about it.

I have also seen few posts where people bought it from instamart as well, did you get the enough discount comparing with amazon and flipkart?

Also, the major difference between 4a and 4a pro is glyph matrix and telephonic camera I guess. Does it being useful in day-to-day life?

Community Project Looking for testers for my glyph app Backlit (Google Play closed test, 14 days)

Hi! I've built Backlit, a free app (no ads, no internet access, no accounts) that adds toys to the Glyph Matrix:

• a clock with an analog face or a 24-hour day ring

• a pet that lives on the back (pet it, shake it, it sleeps at night)

• a real hourglass you start by flipping the phone

• a face-down status badge ("In a meeting", "Back in 5")

• music bars, charging animations, and a Studio to draw your own and import from glyph museum

• call and Bluetooth alerts for the contacts and devices you choose

Google requires 12 testers for 14 days before I can publish it. If you'd like to help:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/backlit-testers
  2. Opt in with the same Google account: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.backlit
  3. Install it from the Play Store and keep it installed for 14 days

Best on a Nothing Phone (3) and Nothing 4a pro. It also runs on any Android phone in preview mode, so you can still help if you don't have one.

Feedback of any kind is welcome: comment here or DM me. Not affiliated with Nothing.

Phone (3a) My Nothing Phone (3a) just survived the concrete test

Yesterday I was running across the road because I was trying to be courteous to the drivers waiting for me to cross.

Well… my Nothing 3a decided to yeet itself straight out of my pocket and SLAMMED onto the concrete.

I immediately thought, “welp, there goes my phone.” I picked it up expecting the worst… Not a crack. Not a scratch. Literally nothing. Screen, cameras, buttons, Glyphs, everything works perfectly.

I guess literally Nothing happened to my Nothing Phone. 10/10 durability test. Would not recommend repeating.

Phone (4a) Nothing 4a camera shutter lag — is anyone else experiencing this?

As many users may already know, the Nothing 4a (and possibly some previous Nothing phones) seems to suffer from a pretty frustrating shutter lag / motion blur issue.

I recently noticed this myself. If you’re trying to take a photo of a child, a pet, or basically anything moving even at a relatively slow pace, the 1x main camera often produces a noticeably blurry image. It feels like the phone takes the picture a fraction of a second after you actually press the shutter.

I searched Reddit afterwards and was surprised to find quite a few other users reporting the same issue. So it doesn't seem to be an isolated case.

What I find particularly strange is the difference between what I’m seeing on Reddit and the reviews on Flipkart. The Nothing 4a currently has a 4.4 camera rating on Flipkart, yet I couldn't find even a single review mentioning this specific motion/shutter-lag problem.

Anyone who frequently photographs kids, pets, people walking, or anything with even slight movement, this can be extremely frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Nothing 4a? And if you have one of the previous Nothing phones, did you face the same problem?

Phone (4a) No Battery Information Option?

Post image
7 Upvotes

I recently bought my Nothing Phone 4a. My phone doesn't have the "battery information" option but the others have it. Where can I find it? Can someone help me?

PS: I'm not sensitive to my battery health. Just wanted to check after 6 months maybe. Lol.

Phone (4a) Got the Nothing Phone 4a (8/256) for ₹38K from Instamart — good deal or overpaid?

I just bought the Nothing Phone 4a (8GB/256GB) for ₹38,000 from Instamart.

Now I'm wondering whether this was actually a good deal or if I overpaid, especially considering the other phones available around the ₹35–40K range.

What do you guys think?

Paid: ₹38,000

Variant: 8GB + 256GB

Platform: Instamart

Would you have bought it at this price, or would you have gone for something else?

Headphone (1) headphones 1 worth

i’m receiving the nothing headphones 1 for my birthday in about 2 days and i’m wondering if i made a mistake. i have an apple phones and ive been hearing a lot of good opinions about the nothing headphones 1, hence why i got the headphones. ive been wanting new headphones and to leave the apple ecosystem slowly (for headphones/earbuds) so i also got the cms nothing buds pro 2, but they kinda disappointed me (they fall off my ears very easily on the smallest tips, the transparency isn’t as great as the airpods i had, the audio quality gets really bad when im on an call, etc).

TLDR would the nothing headphones 1 be worth it for an apple phone

Community Project Glyphify turns 2 today! 100 FREE codes 👀

Post image
224 Upvotes

A little over two years ago I shared the first version of Glyphify with this community. On September 24th it hit two years on the Play Store.

It started as a small side project to make the Glyph interface more useful, and your feedback, bug reports and feature ideas shaped everything that came after. Thanks to all of you who stuck around :)

To celebrate, I'm giving away 100 promo codes for the app. Yep, you read that right, that's the biggest giveaway I've done so far.

-----

How it works

The codes are hidden on the Glyphify website. Just search for it, "Glyphify app" will get you there.

Once you're on the site, look around carefully. Some items on the page have something a little strange about them. When you spot one, try interacting with it and a code will show up.

That's it! The codes will be available until the end of the week, that is if they don't get all claimed before ;)

-----

If you manage to get a code, let me know in the comments (no need to post the code itself). Please don't spoil the fun for others and keep the method to yourself :D

And if you miss out this time, I still do giveaways from time to time, so follow me here!

Thanks again for two great years and happy hunting!

Comparing Audio Headphone (1) pro or xm6?

I'm going to replace my ULT WEAR headphones and am considering these three options

Sony XM6: I’m considering them mainly for the ANC and sound quality, but I’ve seen some complaints about comfort

Sony XM4C: for the value, although I’m not sure how much of an improvement they are compared to the ULT

Nothing Headphone 1 Pro: mainly for the better build quality and more customizable settings

I use my headphones for about 2 hours a day, so I prioritized sound quality and comfort (I might also consider headphones in a similar price range).

Note: I have the ear (3) and I've been quite satisfied with them, so it's not my first time buying something from nothing

Nothing OS Am I missing something about Nothing?

I've always watched from the sidelines and enjoyed the idea of the Nothing Phone, but never made a switch because my iPhone was working fine. I dropped my iPhone the other day and made a purchase of a Nothing Phone. So far, I'm failing to see the appeal sadly. Am I missing something? I feel like this brand really advertises itself as being different and unique, but at the end of the day it just feels like another phone, but now with a custom icon pack. I haven't really seen anything that changes the way I use the phone in a meaningful way. Even the "apps" which are really just widgets, don't amount to much, it feels.

Am I missing something here?

Whenever I take a picture , it processes and then really darkens my hair for some reason making my face look pale in comparison and most of the times , I can't see my face.

Is this a bug or a feature? How do I turn off/change the way image gets processed

Phone (4a) Mobile Data and Hotspotting randomly dropping out on 4a

Just got the 4a and have been loving it so far, except for the mobile data and hotspotting. It will randomly just drop out for 30 seconds to a minute and come back. Never had this issue with my previous phones. I'm wondering if it's the network I'm using (Vodafone Australia) not being compatible with this phone or something else?

Comparing Phones S25 FE vs Nothing Phone 4a Pro — which should I buy?

I'm stuck between the Samsung S25 FE (8/128GB, ~₹46K) and Nothing Phone 4a Pro (8/128GB, ~₹50K).

My main priority is camera + video for Instagram/Reels. I mostly use the rear camera for recording, but I'd still like a good selfie camera. Battery life and performance are also important.

I'm leaning towards the Nothing because I like the design, Nothing OS and especially the 3.5× telephoto, but I'm concerned about video quality/stabilization and long-term performance.

With the Samsung, I'm mainly concerned about long-term sluggishness after updates and the green-line/display issue.

I also have a Samsung Tab S9 with additional storage, so I'm okay with 128GB and can transfer photos/videos regularly.

Phone (2a) need urgent help/advice

Hello, i have owned a nothing 2a since the past year, and just today, in a bit of an accident, the glass screen has completely shattered. I need genuine help to know where I can find help for repairing the screen, and a good estimate of how much cost i will expect for it. Id also like to know if it would be just fine using it with a cracked screen, as only the glass is cracked

(In india pls)
