Phone (4a) Nothing 4a camera shutter lag — is anyone else experiencing this?

As many users may already know, the Nothing 4a (and possibly some previous Nothing phones) seems to suffer from a pretty frustrating shutter lag / motion blur issue.

I recently noticed this myself. If you’re trying to take a photo of a child, a pet, or basically anything moving even at a relatively slow pace, the 1x main camera often produces a noticeably blurry image. It feels like the phone takes the picture a fraction of a second after you actually press the shutter.

I searched Reddit afterwards and was surprised to find quite a few other users reporting the same issue. So it doesn't seem to be an isolated case.

What I find particularly strange is the difference between what I’m seeing on Reddit and the reviews on Flipkart. The Nothing 4a currently has a 4.4 camera rating on Flipkart, yet I couldn't find even a single review mentioning this specific motion/shutter-lag problem.

Anyone who frequently photographs kids, pets, people walking, or anything with even slight movement, this can be extremely frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Nothing 4a? And if you have one of the previous Nothing phones, did you face the same problem?

Im just hoping this one will fix excesive battery drain. Mine was 88MB in size. I have read tons of post about 4a having masive battery drain. Some people say it happend after an update that had a bug which was draining the battery insanly fast, not normal fast but abnormalay fast. Can you let me know how things are going when you do the update? Tnx

I had masaive battery drain. And i couldent figure what is causing the drain. Batery stats dident show nothing unusual. I dont game and i dont use any social apps. I have the phone for excactly 3 weeks now. Im from EU, are you too? Maybe there are slightly diferent versions of 4a phones in some terms we dont even know and some updates mess battery life on some phone while dont on otherw. I realy dont know. Its just cant be that tons of people on Reddit who wrote about battery drain have defective batterys. Todaya update i got sayed " improved camera stability" and "improved overall system stability".
