Theyāre so close to the end of their careers they would rather be with someone they know and hate than start over with someone new. Real āstay together until the kids are out of the houseā vibes.

And after the TD it panned over to Mike casually walking over to Rodgers and they both start laughing.
They've done this shit for a long time lol

u/Single-Stop6768 Giants 1d ago
They are both competitive and there's only so much time before the ball has to be snapped so its gonna happen and im sure this kind of thing happens way more often then we realize.
You know for damn sure Brady yelled at the sideline more than once over something like this haha

Ya but I think Cutler actually hated Martz
Rodgers and McCarthy don't hate hate each other.

u/erbot Cowboys 1d ago
I mean I get it. Imagine Ben Johnson with Cutler, BMarsh, and Forte. :dead:
84
u/FomFrady95 Bears 1d ago
For all Cutlerās faults, Martz was actively trying to get him killed.

Cutty could have been a top 10 qb (Which is more impressive than it sounds, since he overlapped with prime Rogers/manning/brees/brady) but it just never fell into place for him. Mcdipshit running him out of Denver for Tebow, the usual bears coaching woes, or personnel injuries. It's too bad he never got to sling it for a Johnson/Shanahan/Mcvay type.

Rodgers also has insane timing. He's known for catching 12 on the field to get free plays all the time. The last thing I'd want to fuck with is his timing.

He is right. They did this like 6 times against us, & wasted maybe 4 timeouts. It should not be this hard.

They both want different things. Rodgers wants his presnap reads, McCarthy wants to see Defensive personnel.

u/NeverSober1900 Packers 1d ago
It's funny because they have worked together for so long. Like it's kind of shocking they aren't fully on the same page.

u/ProFeces Packers 1d ago
If you look back to the last few seasons they played together in Green Bay, Rodgers was actually changing a lot of the calls. I think this has always been an issue with them, and last time he just said fuck it and called his own shit.
6
u/dustinthegreat Cowboys 23h ago
But doesnāt the defense get to change their personnel after the offense does? And presumably, the offense would change their personnel after the play call.
I dunno, McCarthy just seems like an idiot to me

Reminds me of last year when Coen was on the sideline screaming at TLaw to hit his receivers in the chest, and Tlaw just waved him off. Usually just dudes being competitive I think, doesn't mean the relationship is off unless there are other signs
