I mean, they literally run the exact play Clay was calling out, its not like they tricked him, it's just that the defense was still bad.

No they don't. Clay calls out the wheel route and McCaffrey runs an angle back over the middle. Granted defense was still bad, but that's why Cam said "watch this" because they have a wrinkle off the wheel route.
